First EQS SUV at dealership
I was at my dealer today and they had an EQS 450 SUV in the showroom. They also had a small electric SUV outside, I’m guessing EQB. The SUV looks great, just like the pictures. This one had the 3rd row seat. I sat in the 3rd row just to check it out. It’s pretty tight, probably good option for kids but not adults. I’ll definitely need something bigger for my 3 boys when it’s time to replace my Denali XL. Good to see these arriving at dealers.

Our local dealer had 3 EQS SUV come in today. I actually drove the 580 for about 10 miles and got a really good feel for the car. Incredible pickup and smooth ride. MB star wood grain looks really nice. On the 3rd row, I think you have to play with the settings. I'm 6'0" and I sat in the back and moved the middle row all the way forward. I had room for my legs in the 3rd and in the same position also had room for my legs in the middle row. It is better than the 3rd row arrangement in my x166 gl450 which can not adjust the middle row seating position. This car had dy2 and in that I felt the middle seat of the middle row was not that comfortable to sit in. The car is really nice and nothing like any thing else I have seen.
Also on the 450 they can add the running boards but on the 580 they can't for some reason.
On a separate note they also had the EQB in the showroom. MSRP was 57k. My friend just bought the mustang mach-e and paid $50k. I think the EQB is a much much better car for $10k more.

I’m in Jacksonville, Florida. The dealer had a few coming in, they offered a black 580 SUV to us but our sedan, that’s been on order since January, should be built in November. I know the 450 that I looked at was sold.

@SoCal888 , very nice overview and some very useful pictures. Thank you! 👍🏼
- Great Car from inside
- not a head turner from the outside given price point
- hyperscreen is great, but also overwhelming and the features of the passenger side will eventually lose its luster and won’t be used.
- if budget conscious, I am not sure the $22k or so premium is worth it especially in a large city
at $138-142k for the 580 I just feel thats just to much for a car that will just eventually just blend in with all the other vehicles. It doesn’t have that unique stand out look. Yes it’s nice and the hyperscreen is great….. but $150k plus after tax and over $160k if your dealer is charging a premium. Thats just too much given what it is.
the 450 is plenty for most people….
3rd row only for kids….. no average size adult would even be remotely comfortable even to go up the street.

2022 Mercedes EQS 580
The gray 580 which arrived on Thursday at my dealership sold this morning. I saw it just after they detailed it for delivery.
I suspect these will sell well even with a markups in larger markets. They still have a Black 580, a gray 450 and a white 450 left. If you want to have some more information reach out to benzblogger
