Official Leaked Images. Whoever decided to let this two-tone paint color make it to production, as well as be a press color needs to be fired immediately, incredibly tacky and the way it dips into the fender is atrocious.

Have to say it looks better than anticipated although hard to tell with this paint selection, this two tone combo is a mess. The white looks like the factory wrap the cars are delivered in. They could have done better.

I think it looks very good. I like it.

Not generally a fan of two tone colors on Mercedes, but this looks a lot better than the way they do it on the Maybach models.

BTW The leaked photos are not professional photos, and the picture is over-exposed. The car is clearly painted in the same color scheme as the EQS Concept which is why they chose this scheme for the Edition 1.

Agreed and I could do without the stupid and (aerodynamic??) inlets in the bumper.

Maybe? That prototype was gorgeous. Too bad they changed, it's a let down.

I suspect it was more than that. The bumper inlets help also with brake cooling as well as airflow.

Further it looks like the fender height for the concept looks like it would have required a horizontal suspension as opposed to a traditional vertical suspension. My guess is the horizontal suspension wasn't viable either due to ride quality or cost considerations.

The whole car looks a little higher too which likely eases ingress and egress. Nobody wants an S-Class type of car that is too low and uncomfortable to get in and out of. It's not a sports car. Also the concept had windows which blend into the bodywork and don't look functional. Doubt that is production viable.

This EQS reminds me of a pod. Something one might see at the Epcot Center, in the German Pavilion, as part of a futuristic “People-Mover” exhibit. Being the traditionalist that I am, I really don’t care for it. I could easily imagine this thing with no steering wheel or driver controls, headed into the sunset on some deserted highway, while the synthesized voice is reciting a bedtime story for the passengers. After listening to the morning news, with all the insanity going on out there and then seeing this EQS “thing,” it makes you want to go down and buy a brand new Dodge Charger Hellcat!

Matter of taste. I think the Dodge you show here is one of the crappiest pieces of design ever. Its a totally unimaginative three box design. Could have been designed by a 2 year old. It just reeks of being cheap. Hopefully Stellantis discontinues that eye sore.

The design is neither beautiful or ugly to me, but that two tone paint should have stayed on the drawing board. It looks like it came out the factory wrong, especially on the front fenders which is so abrupt. I look forward to seeing an EQS that is one color.

I think Mercedes should just stop doing two-tone paints. There is not a single car they have made where the paint makes sense. When you look at a rolls royce or bentley, the two tone boundaries follow body lines or panels. It accentuates the design. When Mercedes does it, they just chuck it on to check the two-tone box without putting any design intelligence into it.

Was not aware people don't want S class type of cars, or that they are low and uncomfortable to get in and out of, or that they are comparable to a sports car (that's new one).

I don"t disagree on the looks, pod sounds right. Concept was much better looking. Styling both underwhelming and lacking dynamics, sterile. I like the interior though.

The EQS concept is lower than an S-Class. The EQS580 looks like it is a similar height. You completely missed the point. I was saying people don't want an S-Class with a 911 ride height.
