As I pause and reflect on this. I think MB is making a mistake on model numbering.
wouldn't it make more sense to align to KW output, hence the EQS245 and EQS385V4?
but I guess bigger numbers are more important.

If it was called EQS385 I would have no idea what that is. I would most likely think it is a base model for the European market similar to an S350.

The numerical portion of Mercedes car model designation is no longer technically based so they don't provide any purchasing insight beyond good, better and best.

There is too much surrounding blue color cast from windows and lighting that effects the cars real color, got to see in person.

I think he means it can be done remotely from your mobile phone.

I have read that most EV’s will have the option to turn on the heat or AC remotely while they are being charged, for example at night, so that when you get in first thing in the morning the inside temperature will be comfy from the start.

That is exactly how the Audi etron works. The car does not have to be charging for this function. You can simply use the APP to pre-set a temperature for a given time - either by doing it automatically for a given time (every day for example) or selecting the time when you think of it just before you are leaving.

I've read this same article and this article clearly states that the Ford Mustang Mach-E has outsold the gas powered Mustang by about 1,800 vehicles. It'llbe interesting to see if this continues. EQS versus gas powered S should be interesting too.

I don't find it so misleading, because the article also states that for the Mach-E, Ford has "totally run out of stock” whereas "Ford said its supply of gasoline-fueled Mustangs is down to 24 days" (which is low, but meaningfully greater than zero).

My guess...which could be wrong...is that the EQS won't outsell the S in the near term, but that depends partly on pricing.

I get your point but I think the Mustang name is relevant for the purpose of the article, On that basis, the Mustang Mach-E had sold more vehicles than the gas powered Mustang. We'll have to see what the future brings.

I watched several videos of the Mustang EV on a long haul trip and it struggled to connect at every charging station. Definitely not good and would give me pause before buying it. And the center screen software for routing you to the next available charger was underwhelming. Ford, like MB, BMW, Audi, etc. is new to the EV game and have a lot to learn to catch up to Tesla's onboard software. If Tesla only had more knowledge of how to build cars I would be looking more closely at them but they have so much more to learn about being an auto maker and not just a producer of EV's. I think that's why so many of us are excited to see the EQS in action. A true luxury EV built by a manufacturer with tons of experience. MB and others can learn the ins-and-outs of designing EV's quicker than Tesla can learn the auto building trade. The EQS proves that already.

Yes, this video has been around over a month but I just happened on it. This was my first view other than the Order Guide of the 21" RWX 11 spoke wheel and they look a lot cooler than I thought. FF to the end of the video for the best wheel view. but worth looking at the whole vid if you haven't seen it.
