I have a 450+ with the normal center screen and today it went completely blank. In addition, my getting error messages on my center display telling me that parktronic, park assist and sensors are inoperable.
Does anyone know how to reset/restart the MBUX display? Also, any idea if the sensor messages are related? TIA.
I have had several instances of the main and passenger screen blanking while I am driving. In a few minutes, it reboots on its own then asks me to authenticate before returning to normal. I took it to a service center to see if there was a software update available. There was not. They wanted to give the car to a tech to drive for a few days hoping the intermittent problem would show itself. I declined.
After a few hours the whole system reset itself and has been working fine. Concerned that you can’t operate the air con or managing charging when that screen has gone out. Plus I have no idea why my sensors also went out. I just hope this doesn’t happen again but I’m going to bring the car u to service to see if there is new software.
One lingering issue is that I no longer have my free charging with EA. The chargers don’t recognize the vehicle anymore.

Happened about a month ago to me. Hasn't recurred. I wonder if it was "digesting" an update.
I had the exact same problem this afternoon. Error messages and blank MBUX screen. Outside temp was 102 (cool day for Vegas!) car had been sitting for about 2 hours in the sun (ceramic tint windows and weathertech sun shade). Started the car, received the warnings on the drivers screen, MBUX blank. MBUX screen was extremely hot. I let the car cool down for about 30 minutes. Then shut down. About an hour later, climate control cooled the car for about 30 minutes via departure control. When I started the car, everything worked normally. Needless to say, the car has sat in the sun in MUCH warmer temperatures without issue, but this is the first time the MBUX was almost too hot to touch. Seems like the MBUX was still generating heat while off and overheated. Thoughts? Bought the car in May, currently has 4500 miles.

Which MBUX software release do you have?
I doubt the screen consumed any power when the car was parked. In any case if it was just the screen blanking because of excess heat, the control unit should still run and the display should wake up when it has cooled down enough. The list of fault messages would be shorter too.
I have RL_NTGL_E250.403_21394AC3. List of faults was same as listed above. Again, car has sat longer on hotter days and not had the issue. If just sitting and overheating is a problem, that is big issue living in the SW.

Interesting that you mention the heat. I was out in Palm Springs when this happened and it was about 105 F outside. Maybe heat does have something to do with it, but I can only assume, like all Mercedes cars, that the vehicle has been extensively tested in extreme temperatures.

Same issue for me. First time this has happened. I called my MB dealer and their recommendation was to let car sit for 20-30 minutes and it should come back on. My response was that I would give it a try, but that if that didn’t work, I’d be showing up at the dealership in the morning.

Did you let it "sit" ignition (how is it called on an EV?) turned off, doors closed?

Actually, after I posted, I did let it sit for about 30 minutes, and all seems to be fine now. Just weird that in my 6 months of ownership of the EQS, this is the first time that it’s happened.
I had this happen to me once in the week I've had my 580. The system rebooted itself quickly, but it was jarring because there was a loud, continuous warning sound right before the reboot.
