i just emailed englishtown raceway about prices and whether or not they're willing to do it. i asked about both the road course and drag strip. on their website, they say the road course is near complete, but not open yet...so we'll see about tracking our cars.
i'm assuming it's going to be on columbus day (10/10) that we'll go to the track since the weekends are usually booked with other events. correct me if i'm wrong.
and does anyone have a problem with this location??

we were planning on it being the sunday... of columbus day weekend, so people could get home on monday... some of us have school you know on tuesday in boston, lol and I bet more people have work!!!

OK FOLKS, I have a photographer that is willing to come take pictures of our gathering... from the New York area that weekend. I have seen some of his shots and I can say they are pretty nice!!! And we possibly have a great location for some pictures as long as we get security clearance from the company that owns the building... keeping this hush hush for now... But it looks more and more like Englishtown is our spot!!!
Anyone know of any descent restraunts in that area where we would all be able to have a dinner together and maybe meet with a rep if we can get one?
I will give a definite location I guess by this week or next weeks end!!!

i just talked to one of the guys at englishtown raceway and he said the weekend is definitely not available since they're already scheduled for different events. he said weekdays are possible.
that's pretty much all the info he gave me on the phone since he said they're pretty busy this week. more info to come by email next week he told me.

we might just have to do without the track/drag strip. i know at other drag strips there's a test and tune session for all cars on friday or sunday, so it won't be an exclusive event for us, but at least we get to run our cars.

Now that I think of it "lowphat" knows this quiet little neighborhood down in Maryland that I am sure would welcome us with open arms ( see KILL STORIES - "Kleeman vs. Toyo" ) for a full day of drag racing!

well as of right now we have 30 some odd cars showing up... I could see this go up to about 50 once we set a place. And as far as entry fee, I dont think I have one... I figure if we get a dinner with an AMG rep everyone pays for that and then people get there own hotels, I will suggest a hotel and try and get a group rate for us. People pay for that on there own and then the track fees will be split amongst all who join minus a few people who will be taking pictures or video taping the event!!! PEOPLE I WANT THIS BIG. I am going to contact the primemedia group for some event coverage in one of there magazines. If anyone knows an SLR owner in the New York area that might be willing to go, that would also be hott!!!

This track is about 45 minutes from Atlantic City... we could set up camp somewhere in between and I bet would get more people to go with this to draw them in as well

keep going with it... we cant put all our eggs in one basket... If Etowns road course is open by then I would love to have it there
