i wish I had more time to run around taking pics, but you guys completely blew away my expectations and it was almost too much to handle. Fortunately, everything worked out well... plenty of parking spaces, shuffling of cars, meeting new faces, and finally some ice-cold water !!

man there were a lot of really nice cars there....my friend with the 3 cedes didnt want to come down from bev hills and then have to go back and all three of them arent car people anyway, so none of them went, but I drove through to check it out real quick...sorry to crash it, didnt mean to interupt, but I just cruised through and went on my way, good luck ever getting a good turnout from SD people, it seems that no matter what the car is people just dont seem to really care down here (general stereotype not true to ever SD resident) but especially in Encinitas where cedes are a dime a dozen and the general consensus is that you only drive a bmw if you cant afford a cedes or are a kid (most of the beamers are driven by the local teens and their moms drive the MBs) oh well. Again nice cars, next time I will talk one of my friends into joining you guys or at least letting me steal the SL for the day.

we did have quite a few of San Diego people there.... although some who signed up never showed up.
But actually most of the really classic (1950's 1960's MBs) were Encinitas locals.
Next meet I'll be planning is going to be in Irvine (Orange County) sometime around late Sept / early Oct, so stay tuned....

yeah I saw those they were my favorites....the Encinitas comment was a a generalization, of course there are several people that do enjoy their cars, its just that most of them seem not to, they live by the creedo "its just a car" heck I met this lady once with a maybach that had a ding and a scratch and she had just taken it through a local car wash, she just didnt care, it makes me sad, hey would a maybach count for the next one since it is a mercedes/daimler chrysler product?? a friends dad has one. not sure he will be interested though another "car is just a car" guy, he just likes to show that he can afford the expensive ones.... jackass. I really wish more of them would be car enthusiasts, too many soccer moms and old ladies driving nice cars (ie. SL 500s, 55s, and 65s and many more non MBs)
