Another Possible NJ/PA/NY/CT Meet?!

I know I know I knowww you're all thinking "we just had one." But, being that the summer is the time in which most of us are actually free, so I'd really like to get some dates down as a possibility. I'm thinking late June, early July. The meet would be held on a Sunday at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey. Possibly the easiest place to get to for a big meet because of the location, will provide details as we get closer.

Let me know what you think!

*Edit
Other location possibilities? Let me know.
So far:
Garden State Plaza
Roosevelt Park
Dunkerhook Park (in Glen Rock)

June 11th is perfect for me, because I have Tuner Wars on the 4th, so the 11th is perfect, and I promise Rick and Tom, I'll show up, or else I'll buy you both lifetime subscriptions of Playboy

JUNE 11TH FTW!

The only sure plan I have to be away is June 25th, else I may be able to attend any of the other dates as it stands now. June 25th I'll be sipping a pina colada on Paradise Island.

More opinions! Let's see it. I want a HUGE meet, not 10 guys, let's make a goal of atleast 20 eh?

My opinion is that GSP is too far north for a Jersey meet, and in general, NYers do not come to Jersey meets anyway, so there's no benefit to having it so far up. Besides, what's the benefit of doing it at the mall on a Sunday? It's closed, and the restaurants at the mall are way too crowded on Sundays anyway. And I'm 5 minutes away from the GSP, so I'm not saying this out of my personal needs.

What's your thinking on this location? If it makes sense to everyone except me, fine, I guess I'll just have to deal with a 5-minute trip.

As far as what day, I have no idea until I get back from my trip at the end of the month.

I've never organized a meet before so out of distance, I figured it was the best location to get NJ/PA/NY/CT involved. I wasn't aware the NY guys don't show. GSP on a Sunday would be best because other than the restaurant side, it's empty (Blue Laws, nothing open Sundays in Bergen County). But if someone really had a spot that would be more efficient to get as many people possible, then let me know, I'm up for anything.

I like Edison because it isn't that far for me, but maily I like the presence of free grills, bathrooms, shade trees, and park equipment. A parking lot somewhere would have none of those.

GSP sounds like a perfect location, I live maybe 20 min away from it.

Alright, so either Roosevelt Park or GSP, we'll see what the majority chooses as the time gets closer.

Bergen County parks do have some nice facilities. The availability of parking and grills does exist. One area I was thinking about was the Dunkerhood section, which is pretty close to the GSP (both the Garden State Parkway and Garden State Plaza). Other areas of the parks are also very nice. The Glen Rock section also would have a large parking area near a pavilion.

See more info here:

Funny, I actually live in Glen Rock and didn't think of that for a second. It's a pretty nice place, I'm currently at school, I'll be home on June 6th and I can check it out. I do know that it's fairly busy on Sunday afternoons, so it may not be the best place for an exclusive meet up.

That's definitely another option.

GSP sounds good! That's much closer as well. I don't know what date yet but definitely can't make any of the June dates except the 25th (study abroad).

I kind of feel like GSP would be the best just because of meeting purposes. It's a 10-15 minute drive from the George Washington bridge, it's also right off the parkway and the use of grills and such wouldn't be needed in my opinion. I was just thinking of a meet, take a look at each others cars, enjoy them, chat, go for a cruise. Something of that sort. But I don't know, let me know what you guys want. We seem kind of split right now.

Or, another possibility is that we meet at GSP and move to the park in Glen Rock (not the easiest to get to so everyone can follow me over). Let's hear what you guys think!

Besides the park in Glen Rock, another area that is possible is the Ridgewood section. In addition, for a nice cruise, we can head down Ridgewood Avenue through the center of town. I would think it would cause quite a scene.

I agree completely. So want to meet at Glen Rock, go to Ridgewood, then cruise? Or meet at GSP first?
