I don't know where you guys are all getting your best deals from but Jeff quoted me the following for my '15 ML63:

5 yr 75K --- $4600
5 yr 100K --$5462
6 yr 75K ---$6555
6 yr 100K -$7015
7 yr 75K --$7705
7 yr 100K-$8165

So far those have been the worst quotes I've seen.

That's BECAUSE it's a "63" normal. Trade for anything else buy a AMG and those prices will be much much less. AMG specific models are the worst from anyone to get extended on and carmax won't even do it anymore as of last year.

So, I tried again with my local dealer. Would not move on pricing. Representative said price of warranty is set by MB. I phoned MB customer service and was told that individual dealers set their own prices.
So, I got my warranty ELW from Cassandra Castro in Milwaukee. Great price!

Update:

The NOx sesors went bad and the dealer replaced them under the warranty

$ xzy = $5,936.00

$ abc = $5,940.00 + $1,500 = $ 7,440.00

...and I still have left 4 years of warranty

Does anyone know how much the dealer earns selling MB extended warranties? I would like to get a better price.

I don't really know the answer but my guess is:

1. Maybe the dealer gets a commission form the warranty co. for selling the extended warranty
or
2. The dealer has a markup in top of the original policy they get from the EW company.

or (this is my guess)

3. The dealer is doing this because they will make good money when you need repairs...assuming that you go to that very same dealership for repairs.

So for those of you who have worked with the Usual Suspects often listed in this thread. How do you pay for this? If by credit card, I'm not really comfortable sending my number through e-mail.

I've bought from Jeff Jackson a few times. When it comes time for payment, I call him up and give him my CC over the phone.

I also call my guy in California and give him the credit number over the phone. I've bought several policies from him and have never had to worry in the least.

Mercedes-Benz Canada charges double the price for Mercedes extended warranty on a GLS vs a GLE. Is that the case in the US? So far Canadian Mercedes dealers are stating they are not permitted to reduce the price. Canadians can't buy from US dealers. Has anyone managed to get a reduced price for Mercedes Canada extended warranty?

I'm picking up a 2016 G63 at the end of the week, and the 1 year unlimited mile CPO warranty takes it out to December of 2020. I skimmed this thread for some recent estimates, but does anyone here know what the estimated cost would be to tack on a few additional years of warranty onto my existing CPO warranty? From what I am reading on here, it looks like I have 30 days to pick one up from MB and I can purchase it from any dealer?

Also, what are everyone's thoughts on going with the MB factory warranty vs going with a third party?

This is for a 2014 ML 350 4Matic that came with a 5 years/Unlimited millage CPO ELW. Extending by another 2 years to the 7 years/Unlimited millage Certified Pre-Owned Extended Limited Warranty

Jeff came in second, higher by $300
A Modesto dealership came in third, higher by $500
And my hometown Mercedes of San Francisco came in last, higher by $1,800

In case anyone else is shopping for an AMG warranty, these were the numbers I got:

3 year / 75000 Miles: $5950
3 year / 100,000 Miles: $6350

Dropped my 2017 C63 AMG at Dealer this morning. Asked about Extended Warranty? He explained M.B. has a SET PRICE for all Dealers. I said NO, I know many have got E.W.'s for much less? NOW I realize NOT on an AMG C63! That stinks!
$6,350 is a lot of cash compared to reading about all these Sub $2,000 deals.

I purchased a '16 CPO C300 Memorial Day, 29k miles. It had a year left of original warranty and then the MBCPO warranty kicked in with another year when the original warranty expired for a total of two years included in the purchase price.

Just before writing a check for the car I was shown the MSRP of a MBCPO Extended warranty - 2 year extension for $3700. I negotiated that price to $1700 and was shown the Dealer cost of $1,600 (I've been a Technology Vendor to Dealerships in the past so they were transparent).

That $1,700 2 year extension gives me a total of 4 years of comprehensive warranty with zero deductible.

My 2016 E350 has 49,850 miles and I'm trying to get quotes on the MB ELW. I reached out to Cassandra and she told me the system wouldn't let her load it.

I purchased from Texas Cars Direct in Dallas and the original owner was somewhere in Indiana. I'm honestly surprised, as I thought I could add the ELW...

I purchased a ELW from Jeff Jackson a few months ago & he usually responds pretty quickly. It’s the summer time he may be on vacation or something. You can always call the receptionist and have her connect you to his office direct line.
