My wife’s MB is near the end of warranty, and she is undecided on keeping it vs. buying a new car.

Thanks!
While not definitive, this quote from the MB ELW page would suggest it must be purchased before the original warranty expires.
"The Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty is available for purchase before, and is effective as soon as, the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires."

GLE350
I just bought a GLE350. Still have like 18k miles or 30 months before warranty expires. Do i need to buy the warranty now itself or can wait like 6 months or few thousand miles before it expires. The quotes which I got vary from 4000$ to 5500$ on 7 year 100k warranty. Is it cheaper to buy ahead of time?

Also got a quote from a third party guy in Sioux Falls(P***iot Warranty) for like 2000$ for 100k warranty. Not sure what I need to do. Any help? TIA

Just got 7 Years/ 75K extended warranty for my 2020 E350 from Jeff Jackson from MB of Louisville. As others on this thread mentioned, I didn't haggle on the price, as his first quote even undercut third party offers that I was getting. So, thought I'd just take it. I would recommend him for anyone who wants extended warranty or prepaid maintenance from MB itself.

Ditto the truly exceptional experience from Jeff Jackson from MB of Louisville! I asked for a quote via e-mail for a new 2019 C43 Cab today for ELW and PPM, and he replied within 15 minutes with a great price, lower than quotes I've obtained. And after a few quick e-mails for him to get information, I was on the phone with him giving me my credit card number, and he had already sent the PDFs of my ELW and PPM contracts to me. The entire process was quick, efficient, and he was a pleasure to do business. I would recommend him to anyone. Very professional, responsive, and nice man. Highly recommend!

+1 for Cassandra Castro from IAMilwaukee!! Had couple phone calls to discuss the best plan for me with the ELW on my W205. I got the best price from Cassandra beating Jeff Jackson by roughly $100.
Ended up going with the 3YR/75K ELW since my car only has 11K miles on it being a 2016

Highly recommend giving Cassandra a call!! 414-543-3000 X115

Does anyone know what process a dealer should follow when determining if they are going to work on an issue under warranty? I’ve read a lot of posts saying a particular item has been denied warranty even under the 4 year original factory coverage. I myself have been denied getting the oxidized aluminum window trim replaced while I’ve read others got fixed without questions.

On 9/18/2020, I reached Jeff at jjackson@mblouisville.com. That address should work.

On the other hand, I have emailed Cassandra twice at ccastro@iamilwaukee.com and had no response.

Wheel and Tire

I hope everyone is already aware of this issue because I sure wasn’t. Several years ago before I knew about Jeff Jackson and Cassandra, I purchased a wheel and tire warranty for my E class from a dealership out of state. They offered me a price lower than my local dealership. Long story short my daughter drove it and had a blow out. The warranty was denied because I purchased it out of state. I called Jeff Jackson and he explained you can only purchase wheel and tire at the time of sale wherever you purchase the car from.

I just wanted to let people know not all FI managers know this and will quote/sell the wheel and tire warranty. Their system lets it push forward, but when it comes time to use the warranty it isn’t valid. If you are in this situation I recommend you call the person you purchased it from. I learned the hard way, please don’t make the same mistake!

Great experience with Jeff Jackson, MB Louisville. He was patient and kind and answered all my questions. After I purchased the warranty, he still continued to take my calls and answer my questions. He seems very knowledgeable and a great resource. I was happy saving a boatload of money (and no tax) on my ELW for my 2020 GLS450. Definitely worth it to speak with him!

Send me the $800 difference. I think that is a great deal. OK, maybe a DECENT DEAL. (I called Jeff and also got just over $800 off than a quote from my own dealership. THANKS JEFF

I will add to the chorus of people who have had an amazing experience with Jeff Jackson. I contacted both him and Cassandra Castro and I heard back from Jeff immediately. Cassandra never replied to any of my emails and voicemails and I didn't have time to continually try and contact her. So after a while, I didn't care if she was slightly cheaper or not, I wanted to give my business to someone who was responsive, honest, and patient. In fact, I had several issues getting my ELW because of the retail date and warranty start date that MBUSA set on my car (which was two months before I actually paid and took delivery!). They wanted a 15% surcharge on the ELW because of this. It took about a month to get them to fix these issues. Jeff was patient though all this and answered all of my questions for a month while I took care of this with MBUSA. Even before I resolved these issues with MBUSA, he lowered the amount to waive the dealer portion of the surcharge just because he wanted to give me the best price. I cannot recommend him enough! He is the epitome of what we all wish car dealers would be.Jeff Jackson

Voiding CPO

I have 3 years remaining on my CPO for my 2017 SL550. Car has 10,000 miles on odometer. Would I void the CPO if I replace the OEM run flats with traditional tires?

I'm so glad I just found this thread. I just purchased a new 2021 E350 and looking into the ELW. This is my first Mercedes, and admittedly don't know much about warranties (I've never purchased one before on any other car). I plan to email some of the people on this thread for a quote, but I was wondering if this is something I have to do right now, or should I wait until close to when the factory 4 year warranty is up? My salesman said that it is offered a discount now, and if I wait to purchase it later there will be a 15% surcharge as well as any other price increase that might happen over the next 4 years. Does this sound right, or should I wait to purchase?

1. Congrats on the new ride.
2. I don't think we paid any surge (in the sense a penalty or fine), but as time goes the prices goes up as well.
3. For any reason you want to cancel before the 4year/50k miles you could get full refund of what you paid for the extended warranty (confirm here on the forum again). If not, while others pay extra price in 3 years, you would've saved some by paying now. After 4yr/50k it would be a pro-rated refund (just FYI).
4. Start getting info from Jeff and other names mentioned here and see if your dealer could price match it, else, drive home, call the lowest bidder and get it. Make sure you keep those emails safe (if in case you want to get refund in future, it would be easy to get the info).

Don't know which one of the above emails you used, there are listed two above, but ccastro@mbofelmbrook.com worked for me on 10/09/2020.
