Love them.

They paid out 5 figures worth of repairs on my SL600 without one issue.

I now have a 2008 335i. They've already covered about what I paid for the warranty - $4,000 - and I still have 2 years left!

I'm not sure how they make money on high end cars.

Let us know your quote! I might get a C63 within a year or two and I'd absolutely go with Fidelty on the warranty.

'10 C63
I have a 2010 C63 and i got till the end of this month left of my ELW. I got quoted $4,919 for Fidelity's Platinum coverage for 3yrs/36K miles from my local MB dealership. Carchex quoted me $6,252 for their preferred 4yr/48k and $6,742 for their premium 4yr/75k. The warranty provider for the Carchex is Royal Administration Services.

I can pay monthly on the Carchex plans. I'm unsure on the Fidelity one.

How do these 3rd party warranties compare against the CPO / ELW?

What is it that they do not cover?

Can you share any experience having a claim processed under your Fidelity warranty?

Thank you for your reply to my inquiry.

I was looking for actual experiences having repairs covered under a Fidelity-backed warranty.
  • Which Fidelity plan did you purchase?
  • Do you have your repairs done at the same dealership that you purchased the Fidelity warranty from?
  • Any advice on how to best put in a claim to Fidelity so it is processed smoothly?
I look forward to your reply

i purchased the platinum plan for 5 years covers everything pretty much. Cost was 3200. Takes me to 85k miles. I have about a year and a half left. You can use the warrenty at pretty much any repair facility including Benz. I bought it from a Benz dealer but I have never serviced my car at that dealership. My Indy has processed all the claims and he said it’s very easy for him and they pay out. You can go anywhere though. You don’t have to worry about doing it the repair facility will. The information and numbers will be on your contract. They pay out pretty no questions asked under 2k per job. After that they send a 3rd party to verify the repair and make sure the dealership or facility isn’t trying to screw them or fraud. I had them come out and verify for one of the repairs to my diff. No issues. They confirmed the problem and paid.

Fidelity can only be acquired through dealerships, FYI.

Make sure to shop around for your Fidelity warranty. I got 8 quotes, from 8 different dealerships, for the same product which varied over 50% in price (from $6k to $9k, for Platinum, 4years/48k miles, 500 deductible). I believe there's like 140% margin built into their "Retail" price. So, you should be able to take their "retail" price and subtract ~60% to find out their cost/lowest negotiating price.

For a 2013 E350 4Matic Coupe with 48,750, I requested quotes for 50,000 mile/5 year warranty with a $250 deductible. The two best quotes that I found:

Jason Mayes, 844-891-4171: $6,589.00

Michael Jourdan 504-352-8796: $5856.40. According to Michael, this was a 45% discount.

Both are cash prices, single payment up-front

I was not very keen on extended warranties in the past but I purchased one from my credit union, Platinum coverage for my 05 E55. 48mo./48k for $3k, $250 deductable. They have paid every claim and there's been a LOT! Unfortunately they do not offer that product from CUNA any longer. Now I'm shopping for one for a 12-15 ML with not much luck finding anything under $5K. Anyone have any experience with Zurich? The online reviews are horrible.

These third party warranties are way too expensive IMO....and with a deductible no less. Still, considering the expense of repairing some of these cars...... For those who can buy ( and car is qualified) a MB CPO or extended warranty, you'll be better off.

I have the Fidelity Platinum plan. I've only had one claim. A TSB for front upper control arms and strut mounts. I had a clicking when turning and the TSB said to replace both. Fidelity took 1.5 week to authorize only half the repair. None of the items were on the exclusion list, they just said that they only wanted to replace one of the parts. I had to pay $1,500 out of pocket to complete it.

they wont replace a part functioning properly. Your clicking from the sound of it was due to one side that failed. They fixed that. You chose to spend money to fix the proper functioning side and 1500? Where did you take it that is pricey for that. Iv never had an issue with fidelity.
