Decided to replace front door striker pins to the new, upgraded version with a little rubber cushion around them.
If anybody wants the two regular striker pins, please DM me. I bought them new and they have a little bit of wear on them. if somebody wants to send me PayPal to cover shipping and small fee for them, let me know.
@Kobzarhomes , do you happen to know the fender liner part numbers for your G63 fender flares? It's showing on the Daimler site the same part numbers for all W463 models for the inner fender liners. Ideas at all?
Hey, awesome build! ive been following from the beginning and its hard to believe how much you've accomplished! sorry if i missed it somewhere in the post but have you gotten the new cluster working yet with all the features and functions? the cluster on my 2003 g500 recently went berserk and now doesn't turn off unless the fuse is pulled. ive fixed it temporarily by putting a switch to manually turn it on and off to avoid draining the battery. anyways, my mechanic told me that he cant, and hasn't found anybody that can reprogram clusters and for that reason this problem is only fixable by finding a cluster from another car with identical options as thats the way Mercedes vehicle system works. i remembered that you had bought a g55 amg cluster and was wondering if you had any suggestions as to how i can get a new cluster working.
I did purchase a brand new G55 cluster but the only thing that's not working is the gas gauge.
I spoke to a local guy here who says he can program it to work, but he has been out of town for a while so I just have to wait **and visit gas station often to make sure I don't run out of gas )))
He asked me how many gallons was my gas tank... I guess he will some how program it separately from cars computer or something. Not sure yet, but I will update everyone once its done.
First off, awesome build! The amount of knowledge and tips on your build has been invaluable. I just purchased my 04 g500 two months ago and have been studying your thread for ideas on how to fix up my own. Thank you Kobzar and others for being so generous with all you have shared!
Just saw this Brabus G-wagon car for sale on eBay and noticed how much Brabus charges for interior leather works.... shocked 😳 .....
I saw this listing too ,but for some reason i would much perfer your upgrades over the brabus even though i love red. For some reason it seems overdone to me!
Im about to upload a whole bunch of pictures of my G-wagon...
Finally got around to taking some pictures of the finished product.
Should be around 79 photos.
What a journey.... )))

Just an incredible build. The attention to detail and subtle upgrades are second to none. I've been a fan of these trucks for many years and can honestly say that this build is the best that I have seen. I realize that there are a number of tuner editions out there but what I like about this is that it is not "in you face" modified. The more you study the pictures the more detail you pick up on. Enjoy it. Many miles of happy and safe motoring.
Just curious...did you get all the technology straightened out? Like the gage cluster and center stack. I remember that you sent some items to Russia for programming and re-wiring.
Everything works except for odometer, gas gauge and ESP/ABS lights are on.
I replaced ABS sensor with new ones (different electronics) and I was told they need to be programed to the vehicle.
I have someone locally who told me he wants to tackle it, but he's been busy... so I have to be patient.
I just make sure I fill up every couple days or so and don't drive in the snow ))
As far as the items that I sent to Russia (steering wheel, window switches and seat switches) those work perfectly.
