I purchased mine from the facelifted W203 chassis, if you go this route make sure that air conditioning button has the "rest" option ( most of them don't have that button so it took me a while to find one with). I have not tried it on my vehicle but I was told it's plug-and-play. ** I purchased my unit from a wrecking yard and I made sure it came with the plugs in it, just in case the plugs don't match .
Tifosiv122 - if you go with the newer version like I have, you will need to update your dash buttons (with wood trim), navi and climate control (with wood trim). You might also have to replace the navigation unit holder thats inside the dash.
I have all the pieces ready and will be installing them when I'm assembling my interior.
** when I purchase the dash buttons unit (which needs to come off 2007-2013 year G-Wagon). I also purchased it with plugs inside it, just in case I will need to rewire them. I will cross that hurdle when I get to it )

That is somewhat of an issue for me as I have the piano black interior instead of wood. I'm going to see if it works first, then maybe have someone custom fit it.
Looking forward to seeing the piece installed, since you can control fan direction on both sides with this setup and the OEM setup is only one side, are there any issues?
