Hello G550 SQUARED FLAT TOW?

Im new to the MB world, just bought a 2017 G550 squared in electric beam yellow, im trying to find a way to flat tow it behind my rv, ive called MB, they say, no way, called several dealers, same answer, tried a couple of MB performance shops, they have no idea, i know its not straight forward, but short of dropping the drive shafts, leave the vehicle running, or possible, adding an electric oil pump to the transfer case, does anyone eles have any ideas?

What about just a uhaul car trailer or other kind of car trailer?

I wouldn't risk the wear on all the components associated with the flat tow.

a trailer is difficult to park once your at an Rv park, tow dolly would still drive the rear axle
I have a jeep, its simple, just put the transfer case in neutral, trans in park

buy a jeep.... really they are the best for towing behind RVs.

Those are the most popular cars I see behind rvs being flat towed.

I have,a jeep I tow now, want to tow the Gwagon, something different and unusual, I'm not looking for a vehicle to tow behind the Rv, but a way to tow the 550,its funny no one can figure that out, common guys, no one up for a challenge?

I think the challenge is for you (and don't take this the wrong way), expecting other forum members to come up with a unique solution for such a unique purpose for an even more exclusive vehicle is a bit unreasonable.

It would require a lot of effort to get the transfer cases to freewheel; which is compounded by the fact that the 4x4 has unique portal axles to get the clearance.

Yes, I understand, was hopefully someone has been inside the transfer case ,I don't think the portal axles are an issue, I'm pretty sure the is an additional oil pump supply oil to the transfer case, I've red on other vehicles and electric pump was added to maintain pressure, another solution was to leave the vehicle running, trans in neutral....

Better yet, snag yourself a nice Jeep Gladiator diesel, when available next year, and flat tow that. Trust me, you’ll have more fun with that off-road, and if you roll it over and total it, you could buy at least 4 of these for the price of one 4*4. JM2C

Look - I get the question - and when you researched and bought your 2017 G-Wagen you knew about the 3-locking transaxles.

Frankly the G-Wagen must go up on a trailer - or lift by helicopter - your choice.... the other popular towed vehicle in #'s is the older Honda CRV...
