Strange whirring noise

On my 2009 G550 I just purchased, I hear a whirring/spinning noise coming from what sounds like inside the cabin. The noise occurs even in just accessory mode with the electronics activated (engine still off). At first, I thought it was the CD changer spinning or having issues reading a disc, but I have no CDs in the changer. Has anyone experienced something similar? The noise isn't coming from under the hood, and you can't hear it from outside the car, only when in the cabin. I tried resetting my COMAND system to factory settings to see if that made a difference, but it has not. I am attaching a link to video of the noise.

Do you have a disc, not CD for music, but the Navigation disc loaded? That can make noise.

Nope, I just checked and no navigation disc. I will keep troubleshooting.

B180d 2010
I have a 2010 B180d and same issue started to happen after I replaced my battery. On top of the funny noise every time I get in the car, the cd player is not working anymore and the CDs are jammed in the cd changer. I have tried different method I saw on the internet including disconnecting battery, replacing fuse and even punching the audio but none of them worked. Appreciate if anyone knows the solution.

I have that on my '08 G55, I thought it was the fuel pump or something of that nature never really worried too much about it to investigate.

Subscribing to see if you find the culprit.

For what it's worth, my sound seams to come from the passenger rear, the CD changer is on the driver's rear.

Let us know what you find out!

Could possibly be the seat contour air pump... if it's in bad shape. I believe it's under the passenger seat. That's the only other thing that might be starting up.

The COMAND unit has a cooling fan in it that runs whenever the accessories are powered up. When they get older and dirtier, the fans get noisy so you can hear them whine. In the Engineering menu for the COMAND system, you can adjust the fan speed. That should verify it.
