W463A side reflector delete trim

Has anyone been able to source this or have part numbers? The blackout film helps but would prefer just getting rid of them.

x2 same here. I had someone try to find out and they were shut down by MBUSA. Wouldn't even give them the part # and the said dealers overseas have been told to not export of them or something. I was planning on calling a bodyshop in UK and asking them for a part # but need a EU VIN. Anyone overseas with a G63 want to help!

I have mine vinyl wrapped in black gloss. Turned out like OEM. Also know they can be removed and gloss spray painting will work too.

I’m getting mine blacked tinted / wrapped as well. It’s amazing how the look improves by just blacking these out..

Do they come off? If so that may make it easier to tint or wrap.

So I have replacement side trim in solid Black so I can replace the pinstriped pieces and reflectors; however, how do they come off? I am referring to the 1/2" high inner trim, not the entire side trim. I looked at the parts diagrams and they do not show how they are held on but I am guessing with double-sided tape.

It's definitely double sided tape. My detailer removed the reflectors to spray tint them.

Perfect, thanks, and I assume that all the inner trim strips along the side are applied with tape as well!

Anyone use this?

Reviving this

I wanna do the same thing and completely remove the reflectors

Since it’s difficult to source this from overseas Mercedes-Benz parts has anyone used the aftermarket versions available on eBay?

Here’s a link to one that lets you choose AMG or black for the small strip between the door and front fender

Some sets don’t come with adhesive backing, Not sure if this is a plus depending on what’s left underneath from removing the other strips it might be easier just to glue the new set back in. Any thoughts on that are appreciated from those who have done this

Let me know if anyone has experience with this or has other options to look to.

Thanks

You are going to want to remove all of the old adhesive residue before installing new ones - take it from someone that did this, and had to buy a 2nd set because I did not remove it all the first time. It will look ripply/wavy if you do not so you need to have a perfectly flat area. I used an adhesive remover wheel, which worked well albeit it was a lot of work.
