Easily done from the steering wheel menus. Look for it under the "Vehicle" menu. Search for an online copy of the onwer's manual if you have trouble.

Awesome! Thank you all. I suppose actually having visible pixels on the onboard might be a good prerequisite

You can get a replacement for that screen from a few locations. Welcome to MBW Juice! You should move your intro thread into this sub-forum as you'll get a lot more G-specific welcomes and answers.

I just sold my new replacement LCD. You can still find them and they are not hard to replace once you pull the instrument cluster.

FYI
https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...uster-lcd.html

I've debated selling the T5 for years now but it's just not worth enough $ to sell vs the usability and fun I get out of driving it. It's modded as close as you can get to a bolt-on R without the crappy AWD issues, but I would trade up to a V70R M66 in a heartbeat if I could get one at a reasonable price! Going on 10 years and 125k miles now.

It's a plug-in ribbon cable. The hardest part is the removal/disassembly/assembly of the cluster itself. And keeping your finger prints of the optical surfaces!

Even better, thank you. As soon as I find a screen ill give this a shot. Not sure I want to be able to see my gas mileage though

My '03 was shockingly good for a G - 15.9 MPG over 13K miles. Not doing nearly as well on my '14 G.
