2018 G63 whistling over bumps
Hi everyone,
First time post for me. I bought a 2018 G63 last August. Over the winter I started getting this strange whistle/squeeking over bumps. It's coming from the front driver's side. Going through posts on this site I thought it might be the hood as others described, but I fixed that already.
Car makes no noise when shaking it and no noise when opening and closing the doors.
Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? It's been to Mercedes numerous times and they haven't figured it out.
Please help! It's killing me.
Please see the video link below
thanks in advance

If its the sound at around 9-10 seconds in your video, I'd look at putting gummi pflege on the rubber gasket around the door. Also, try adjusting the door strike, so its a little further in when you close the door - sometimes that fixes the squeeking as well....

Cool...When I had my W463 it did the exact same thing and putting this stuff on every 3 mths or so made it go away. the first time you do it, I'd run over the gaskets a second time after the first coat dries. Then let us know if it went away

If its still there, then you'll notice on the door strike on the car, there is the round part that the latch attaches to...wrap either duct tape or electrical tape on the round cylinder part where the door latches onto...that will also tighten up how the door stays shut...or you could try adjusting the door strike itself if the door isn't flush the the body when shut...

Did you do the rear door as well along with the 4 doors? I'd do that first.

Is this what you are referring to?
Yes I did all the doors.
Thank you very much for your help.

Feel free to IM me - fairly certain I had the exact same sound on my 2017 - essentially you are hearing the hood moving with the squeak/whistle coming from the hood support rubber pads where they contact the support bar when closed - easy way to test - grab the brush bar and shake the car, you should hear the sound that gets transmitted into the cabin.

Tried everything above but the door striker. Still have the sound. Actually sounds like it's coming from the back. Any last things to try?

Is it the light squeaking noise that you’re referring to in the video? If it is, I adjusted the stoppers on the hood, put electrical tape on the body at the contact points, and sprayed WD40 on the hinges on both sides. The WD40 is what really made the squeak go away for me.
