I have a 2021 g63 and noticed a low whining noise only when accelerating from a standstill with the AC on. You hear the noise when your under 3000 rpm and then it goes away. You wont hear it while idling. I wasn't sure if this is normal or not. The best way to test is to keep all the windows closed and AC on at the lowest fan so you can hear the noise.

Yea i noticed today the noise was gone. I think it makes the noise only when its very hot out. The other day it was 85 in NYC now its 60.

I haven’t heard the noise at any temperature.

Check to make sure the vents for the rear seats are all open (on center console and on b pillars). I had this noise on delivery and found the vents closed, when opened no more noise.

it was coming from the engine area, Ill make a video the next day its above 80 degrees.

Similar on my 2021 G550.

However, mine gets worse (and better) on it’s own at times….I can’t seem to figure out what triggers it.

I have performed the checks listed in the forum (window seals, door seals, etc…)

Mine appears to be coming from the driver’s side, as it isn’t audible elsewhere.

I uploaded a short video of the whining noise, you might need to turn your volume up to hear it. Its in the beginning of the video around the 1-3 second mark.

This noise started happening to me too. Whining noise when the AC is turned on. I opened the vents in the back center console and the noise is gone for now (had a short drive this morning, will confirm later today). I’ll check to see if the pillar vents are closed too.

The noise im hearing is coming from the engine area not from the vents. All my vents are open as well.

Take the car back to the dealer. It sounds like it is RPM dependent and could be a myriad of different things...
