Toyo Open Country AT3 285/45r22

I need to figure out how to post pictures but in advance I wanted to provide another all-terrain tire update. I installed the Toyo Open Country AT3 in 285/45r22 on my 2021 G63. As other posters have validated, the tire size clears but is VERY tight on full turns.

The thing I wanted to share was my experience with these tires. In short, the ride is terrific. Almost no difference from the stock Pirelli's. Any additional noise from the all terrain tread is muted by the beautiful growl of the engine at speed. Cornering is precise and the ride is great. I have the front air pressure set at 37 psi and the rears at 34 psi. I'm frankly shocked at the performance of this tire. I also have these on my 2021 F150 King Ranch 4x4 and the ride is also great although there was a noticeable difference in the F150 between the stock Pirelli's and the Toyo's. The MOST shocking thing is that my MPG as it reads on the trip computer has actually increased. I am going to compare the weights between the tires to try to explain that outcome.

Happy to share more and I will try to post pics tomorrow.

I'm surprised this tire is "VERY" tight. It's only 0.6" taller (+1.2" dia.) and 0.2" further inset (+0.4" wider) than the 275/50R20 standard OE tire size. I changed my OEs to 275/55R20 (+1.0" dia.) and still have plenty of clearance.

I was likewise surprised...it was the inside portion of the tire in the wheel well on full left and right turns where it was so tight.

Now that I look at the tire, the tightness in the wheel well may be that the tread/lugs are not as rounded on the edges on the Toyos as they are on the Nittos. I have a ranch and run AT tires on all the work trucks. We've had spotty issues with the Nittos (more so with the Terra Grappler than the Ridge Grappler) as a real work tire on the F150's and F250's. The Toyos have been great.

Can't wait to see the pics, I'm thinking about ordering these for my incoming 550 and was hoping to see some pics.
Thanks for the review as well, helps me with my decision!

Other than looking good, how are these as real off-road tires?

I have a ranch in west Texas. We run the toyo’s on all the work trucks. They are really great for real off road applications.

Here’s a couple of better pics that show the off-road look that was difficult to get in other pics.

As a ranch owner, you can appreciate what really counts is performance -- traction and treadwear.
BTW, really like the rock work in the background -- is that a reservoir behind? And what tires are you running on the Deere grader?

As you have been running the Toyo AT3 285/45/22 for a while. Are they still relatively quiet?

Had Toyo At3’s installed week and the truck rides much smoother than the factory Pirellis. Also, there is no road drone noise.

@ggils2324 Any idea if 30mm spacers would reduce any potential rubbing from the tires?

My tires are 285/45/22 and there are no rubbing issues.
