Mr. AMG's look at the EQG prototype

Interesting look at the EQG prototype. Glad they kept the design and the iconic elements like the door latches etc. but I'll still be sad when the V8 eventually disappears:

The "G turn" reminds me of the gimmicky (sand mode) bouncing GLS suspension that seems to be very useful on the weekends at the traffic lights on the inner city streets.

Love my EV and my G, but I’ll try to keep a V8 as long as I can.

G-turn looks pretty cool though. Could use that in my driveway.

Im with you. The G63 will be my last dance with an ICE setup and I plan to keep it for at least a decade. Hoping by then EV's become more convenient and the network expands to rural areas to allow for long road trips with no planning or problems.

I wonder if it is a similar thing, but didn't Rivian had something similar:

Sound like a good idea but I am curious if it works on asphalt or only works on sand in this case?

I guess any EV with four motors can do the tank turn, so the Rivian should be able to do it too?

Imagine it works on any surface, but not sure how happy the tires would be.

Rivian never quite figured it out, but MB did, and it is only for use on soft surfaces, not on your local strip for cruising! And the pics are just a prototype with 18" wheels, but what will get will look like a G for sure.

I hope there is enough info now that we can get a separate forum for the EQG. I have a deposit on one and am first in line at my dealer.
