Proper tire pressure 2024 G 63 with 22” wheels

Does anyone know the proper tire pressure front and rear for a 24 G 63 with 22” wheels? The fuel door says 38 psi front and 49 psi rear. My 21 G 63 was 38 psi front and 35 psi rear.
Thanks!

It depends on how heavy the load is. I’m usually alone so I run 38/35

Needed pressure is all about to give tire a deflection, so heatproduction at the speed used, that wont overheat any part of tire-material.

I can make a pressure/axleloadcapacity-list for your tire with build in maximum reserve, at wich comfort and gripp is still acceptable.
For that I give 90% of calculated axleload for the pressure for max speed 160kmph/99mph.

Then you "ONLY" have to determine the axleloads for the situation 99% acurate, the most tricky part in it all, and your responcibility.

Carmakers nowadays give for GAWR's and maximum technical carspeed, if they calculate, often yust referencepressure of tire.
So often you see 35,36,41or 42 psi as recomended pressure.

Need, to make the list, next of tires.
1.maximum load or loadindex
2. Kind of tire to determine reference-pressure
XL AT 42 or 41 psi
SL AT 36 or 35 psi.
3. Speedcode, less important, shall be Q or higher for wich I use 160kmph/99mph as referencespeed.
For reference maxload is given on tire, for higher speed there is an official ystem of highening up the reference - pressure, for personscartires.
But I use the system looked off from LT and Trucktires of lowering the loadindex 1 loadindex step for every 10kmph/6.3mph.

Thanks, I’m not carrying much and not towing anything, I’m going to lower the pressure In the rear 235 psi and keep the front at 38 psi. It rode funny yesterday with 49 psi in the rear. I contacted my local dealer and contacted a dealer in St. Louis. The local dealer said the same as you, 38 psi in the front and 35 psi in the rear. The St. Louis service manager told me me, 38 psi in the front and 49 psi in the rear. He said that that’s the minimum tire pressure. After I drove it, it didn’t feel right. Thanks for your help!

Sure thing. I think some people here run 38 across which is probably reasonable too. I usually add one so shoot for 39/36.

My fuel flap door sticker shows 2 pressure settings for the rear tires, shown next to hieroglyphics indicative of number of passengers and pieces of luggage.

I think you’re right, it does show the amount of passengers. I uploaded a picture.
