MB suspending sales of 2022 AMG V8 models

Who's liable in this case? The person that placed the order and sold it to me?

Any laws to protect that first buyer, because isn't s/he victimized especially how his/her intention wasn't to sell the car to someone that decides to export it later on?

Yes not illegal to export but any vehicle exported gets recorded, so I believe there's an easy way for Mercedes to track VINs and then source back to the selling dealer. The dealer gets penalized, and the first buyer gets recorded as an exporter and often can get banned.
That's why it's risky to buy a new G63 and sell it to somebody else immediately for profit, because the second buyer can export and then Mercedes gets mad at you.
I believe as Izzone says once it's been a year you can export all you want and Mercedes won't care so as a by-product the dealer won't either.

Okay guys, going to do the following to my new G63:
Full front end PPF.
Chrome delete.
Will smoke indicator lights.
Full car ceramic pro (exterior + interior).
Front + rear window tints for a uniform side look.
Front windshield tint.
Can't wait to see how she'll turn out!
The G63 has always been my "dream" truck. Even though I'm a Lambo guy and love my performante, I chose the G63 over the Urus without even thinking twice. The road presence, the beautiful looks, the status, the "this guy runs this sh*t" vibe, is priceless. Completely different animal. I don't think any truck compares... maybe the Cullinan, but even then, I think the rear of the Cullinan is ugly.

Basically, the original purchaser is on the hook for 1 year. After that anything goes. There are some questions around enforceability, but best case you can never buy another new one. Worst case, the dealer can uphold the contract, which often includes a monetary penalty. Actually, I think the monetary penalty would be less than the profit potential by a big margin.

Wow, the number of G Wagons (2019+) for sale in Canada has dropped from 60 to 40 in only 1 week. Most available now are 2019/2020. Very few 2021s left, brand new ones are non-existent. I've also noticed some dealers in BC jacking up their prices even more, lol.

Guys, picked up my new G63 today!
Will send some pics after I get the PPF, chrome delete, etc. complete as it's at the shop now.
Quick question, the current tires are 295/40R 22.
For winter tires, I have brand new Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires that I bought for my Range Rover SVR but the car was totalled, so I never used the tires. They are 285/40R 22.
Will these be okay to use?

Your 285/40 22 tires are 4/10 of an inch narrower than the OEM tires (very small difference). I put 285/45 22 winter tires on my 2020 G 63. No problems at all. I checked with the service department at my dealership, and they said it was fine.

if they’re careful, they won’t damage your wheels, I had the dealership swap tires on my wheels. They’re storing my tires at the dealership also. You can look on EBay for a set of take off wheels if you don’t want to swap tires.

Cheapest real set of black 22’s on eBay was US $6800 or so. Lots of aftermarket priced around $2000.
Ask your dealer if they know of any take offs. Mine connected me this week with a guy who had a set collecting dust in his office for the past year.

MB can't sell it for 22 because either
1. the cylinder deactivation feature needs tons of chips (mentioned in this post).
or
2. MB can't meet the environmental restriction because they sell a whole lot more v8s than BMW.
#322
I would doubt this a bit because BMW is still selling their v8s for 2022 models without an issue.
