No this is going to be sold along with the traditional G Class for the time being, like the EQS exists alongside the S-Class.

Now what happens after say 2025 though is anybody's guess.

Interesting that Mercedes said “we won’t discuss details as we have technical issues to work out. E won’t be available for a couple of years.”

My interpretation is that a couple of years is anybodies guess.

That is one weird G class, Looks like they just minimized the aggressive look and put up bunch of Christmas lights on it…

Yup... looks hideous in my opinion. Lights on the square "tire" box? This isn't a children's toy... I don't know how anyone can tell me that 2021 G63 values will implode. Yeah maybe if you're a lady you'll opt for all these lights, but cmon...

Yes production model would be smart to have a regular spare with a cubby in the middle for charging cables. There are aftermarket ones for sale already that fit in the middle of the spare.

I mean.... by the time you take out all the concept car stuff like the LEDs on the side, its going to look like a regular G with a different grill and some different wheels. It'll sell like crazy.
