Just curious...Anyone ever replace the star emblem with an led star emblem? Is it possible? Probably different star sizes.

 

Vehicle exterior lighting is regulated by law. Generally, you can install whatever you like, but illuminating it can sometimes have consequences. I remember reading a couple years ago about some guy who thought hanging a string of colored holiday LED lights on his grill would look cute (he probably had a reindeer antler hood ornament too). He was ticketed for illegal lighting.
There are YouTube videos about LED MB stars, but first check to see if it's legal where you live. Personally, I think this would look tacky on a G.

While all of what you said can be true, Mercedes unfortunately makes OEM illuminated stars for most of its models.
Completely agree on it being tacky af, really degrades a car like the G.

 

Cannot do a lighted star on a G wagon. Available on many other models...but not on G.

 

The perfect example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should"...

 

Everyone can see that it's a G anyway-

 

the lighted MB star is just tacky in my opinion. if it's not an available option for the G or S then it doesn't belong on the MB.
