I had a 2022 G63, a 2024 G550 Final Edition and a 2025 G550. This 2025 G63 is simply head and shoulders above those and mind blowing. Every little detail is thoughtful and made better this time around. The touchscreen and keyless entry are small but game-changing. The tech is updated and is now up to Mercedes-Benz quality. Amazing. The little design changes on the exterior are subtle but perfectly executed.
I’ve only put maybe 20 miles on her but getting on one freeway on ramp with a large clover leaf design, I can already tell that the new suspension is leaps and bounds above the previous. In sport plus the G feels almost flat going around the on-ramp corner. It is truly astounding. The overall feel is FAR more comfortable and more S Class than my previous G wagons.

Congratulations @acr-c ! Great to read your initial impressions on the various enhancements for 2025, in particular the AMG Active Ride Control suspension.
Would likewise really enjoy seeing photos of your new G63, especially showing the Manufaktur Full Leather interior. The leather headliner and other leather-wrapped details (pillars, sun visors, front seat backs, etc.) from prior V12 Benz models were gorgeous details, in my view, and I was excited to see Mercedes offer this package as an option for the G63 this year.

I don’t think the exhaust is as loud as my 21 and 24. The dealer filled it up with 91 octane and I’m using it up and will be filling up with 93 octane.
I just got my G580 and although I haven't own prior G-Class vehicles, I feel the same. I test drove a G63 several times in the last 5-6 years and it always felt a little bit too rough around the edges, with outdated tech. The 2025 models seem like a huge improvement and I love my G580. I plan to do a video comparing it to the Taycan I just sold (both are similar MSRP, and more similar then you'd think).

I think the sound of the 2025 is slightly different than my 2022. I can't tell if it's louder or quieter yet (haven't taken it past maybe 3500 rpm or so yet) but when you blip the throttle in neutral (so maybe 1500 to 2000 rpm) you can definitely hear more turbo sounds. It's not like a big blow off valve venting to atmosphere or anything but i noted the different sound immediately. So far, I think it's an intake or turbo sound. It's cool.
I'll get a bunch of pictures asap...the full leather package is over the top. Every single piece of the interior is covered in leather. A lot of cows gave everything for this build LOL.

Congrats, great build although it looks like you missed the heated armrests which I just found out also heats the door panels all the way up to the edge of the windows

HA!!! I hear you but I actually didn’t want them so I opted not to get them. I’m the guy that has the A/C on nearly 365 days a year LOL. I had that option in both of my prior S63 Coupes and just never used it. I also steered clear of the rear seat entertainment because that stuff gets soooo dated soooo quickly. Cheers!
