Well......the hydraulics that operate the lift gate blew up and they have to drive right through Charlotte NC and go all the way to Naples where they are based and have their mechanics get the lift gate open, then transfer the G Wagon onto another truck and turn around and drive all the way back to Charlotte. Won't see the G for another 5-6 days.

I will only use single car enclosed hauler now. No more multiple cars on same truck getting shuffled around at drop offs and pick ups. No more hydraulic issues.

Congratulations! I am excited for you to take delivery - I know the waiting game is hard. My G wagon arrives is on a ship now still (Thermopylae is the name) and will arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 19 and then the final destination of Baltimore, MD on April 23. Then it will head up to Sudbury, MA where I will take delivery. It's fun tracking it across the Atlantic and seeing where it is at each day.... I have so much going on this month that I am actually happy for it to take its time, but they said likely delivery end of next week.

When I built my Porsche 911 and placed the order Porsche sends updated manufacturing pictures along its build phase. That was amazing..

That is amazing - I would love to have received build photos along the way when my G Wagon was being built. That would be so cool. At least you know your G Wagon is safely in an individual enclosed car carrier slowly making it's way down south.

The closest thing we get is a photo of the vessel and a little dot in the middle of the ocean. HAHA!

I guess it is not just the G-wagen, all MBs don't really have a detailed build process with photos or even the build stage sadly : ( Everything has to go through the salesperson through Netstar (was it this system?). Which is kind of frustrating.

Isn't it crazy how it all comes together...literally!! When you see the car half built you say to yourself, "how the hell are they going to finish that". 😂

Porsche, Mercedes etc....build them, in Germany/Austria, put them on a truck or train and transport them to the coastal shipping ports, put them on a boat, ship them across the Atlantic, put them on a train or truck and ship them to your dealer unscathed......Then the dealer dings or scratches it moving it from the wash bay to the delivery area. 😂

I got the exact same one. I love that color. Was surprised to see that it wasn't a paid option.

Hi Risley. Did you get your G Wagon yet? Mine just got to Baltimore last night, so I am curious to see how long it takes before it is processed and on a truck up to Massachusetts. My optimistic guess is maybe delivery the week of May 5th.

HI Angus,
I received it about a week and a half ago. It's really incredible. Love it, buts its been in the garage almost since I got it. Been traveling via flights and awesome Kia rental cars😂. Looking forward to a summer in the Carolina mountains, hiking, cookouts, nice wine and G Wagons. Can't wait to see your G Wagon!! You'll love it!

Glad to hear you received it and you love it. I bet you must be anxiously awaiting getting home and being able to drive the G Wagon again. Your summer sounds amazing! My G Wagon arrived in Baltimore last Friday, so now just waiting to see what is next and when my dealership lets me know it has arrived. I will keep you posted.
