Anybody installed this? Curious about it but have not ordered yet.

Full native touchscreen upgrade (w/ integrated wireless CarPlay and Android Auto) for 2019-2024 W463a G550/G63. Preserves all OEM features and interface.

Personally, I already have wireless CarPlay in my 2022 G550 through a dongle, but it would be nice to have a touchscreen.

I hope to find out very soon as I completed an order as soon as they sent me an email advertising it.
Like you, I’ve got a wireless dongle, and it works well, but the interface is always going to be clunky.

Nice! I am a martyr and found the original supplier for them on Alibaba. I also wanted to review the installation instructions before ordering, and had not heard back from GwagenParts yet. The original manufacturer in China was responsive and also told me that you have to swap out a daughter board from your factory/OEM display to the new one that they provide. This makes sense, so that it can maintain all factory features and compatibility, but is obviously not for the faint of heart. I will probably place the order today, but the savings of ordering from the manufacturer directly are largely eroded due to a nearly 100% tariff/import charge to the US that gets tacked on at checkout.

They sent me this video to illustrate the procedure. See video here.

Did you also order the 2025 touchpad control upgrade that GwagenParts is also marketing?

Thanks for the link and the video.
I hadn’t seen that touchpad upgrade yet. It’s interesting but assuming the screen upgrade works (adding touch), the improved touchpad interface seems like a moot point.

Agree on touchpad. My wife has that same pad in our 2025 GLS and I never use it at all as the touchscreen more than works.

I'm the opposite than you gents, I'd love just the touch pad, not super worried about touchscreen. Have intense OCD with fingerprints on my screen. The touchpad alone brings the Command system into the 21'st century.

It looks like in the screen video that they basically overlay their software on top of the command software. You can see when he does the camera he still uses the track pad, but then when he goes into the system its all touchscreen.

The wireless would be nice, and full video functionality would be epic. All I do on drives is listen to you tube podcasts or court trials on you tube.

This is pretty cool. I look forward to seeing if it works for those of you jumping in on it. Loss of a touchscreen was one of my hesitations with the vehicle before I bought it but to be honest, I have actually become a big fan of the system. Every time I jump into one of my other cars with a touchscreen I find that I don't like it as much. I actually really like the dial controller. In my other cars I really don't like leaning slightly forward, having to take my eyes off the road and find where to touch the screen. Using the dial controller I can just sit back and the clicks in the dial tell me right where I am. I was really surprised by my quick adaption and now my preference. My wife had a GLS with the MBUX system and the few times I drove it I never fell in love with the system. I know moving to a touchscreen is a must in today's cars but MB did a really nice job with the Command system, much nicer than I ever expected before I bought the rig.

I also have this one in another car, which I like as it supports using multiple phones (for wife and I):

Factory sent me an installation video with more info.

Definitely a big job, it’s certainly not for everyone and professional installation is highly recommended.

Do any of the dongles allow you tube and video? Like can I use my Netflix app on screen?

Mine arrived a few days ago and I took a day to install it this past weekend.

Overall I’m pretty happy with it - very nice to have a touch screen now for sure. The audio and sound worn great. All OEM features and menus are available. And I get all of the other Android apps and video stuff if I want it (YouTube, Netflix, etc).

I made a short video below showing it installed in my 2022 G550.

@riozilla @G-Man206 How can you purchase this from the supplier directly? Also - I'm not a car expert, where would you recommend getting professional installation?

I found the original manufacturer supplier here and ordered from them. I’d just source a high end car stereo installer in your part of the world or performance vehicle modification place to do the install if not handy or comfortable.
