Hi, Owners of G63 AMG, and whoever also interested in getting a G63 amg.
how much you guys paid for the car. I ordered one white on Red, however, it takes forever ( more than 4 months). And, I found a white on black (diamond stitch leather) from a private car dealership which sell exotic cars like ferraris. But, I am going to pay over sticker which is 150k for the car. And, I called the MB dealers around me in LA. they all said there is definitely a mark up on the car right now if I want something right away, normally 20k to 30k... So, i might think 150k is a fair price. So, can anyone give me a hint or advice on what should i do right now. Thanks !!

You should pretty much be paying for the car at sticker price, I would think. However there may be a wait. Dealers are limited to how many they can get / sell, which usually isn't an issue; but with this newer revision to the W463 there does seem to be a bit of a demand. That said, these cars have never really flown off the shelf so paying a premium over sticker would be ill advised. They tend to depreciate fast over the first few years, but then level off. The other things is that these cars have a funny way of getting bought and resold quickly to owners that didn't realize how harsh the ride can feel compared to other Luxury SUVs. Not sure how that will play out with the G63.

my local MB dealer just called me today, they have a matte black with white interior just coming in. And, i would come over tmr to see the car, if i like the color combination, then i might take it. However, still struggled on the price. the dealer said there will be a mark up

I bought from house of imports in Cali and paid 10k over they actually charged me 145,205 then tax and license.
It's what it is. Cali is different then other places in the country.
I also bought my wife a 104k stickered 2013 gl 550 and that was 5k over.
Btw: I had a friend offer me 175k cash for my G63 they are hard to find unless you want to call around and deal with shipping and out of state stuff or wait 4-5 months.
I'm super happy with the G63.

.........except if you have a manufacturing plant in near you, whatever car you are driving was shipped from somewhere, mostly likely from out of state.
..........as to the person offering you $175K for your G63, in order to avoid shipping. He/she must have really had a bad shipping experience.
.........reminds me of when the CLK63 black came out. Same conversations came up. There were lots of talk about limited production and vehicle appreciation. You can get one today on eBay for $70K. Just don't fall for the hype.

Since it's a MB community site and a member asked the question. I answered it. I looked and called all dealerships. CA,NV and AZ. NO G63 were available and certainly not at sticker. The San Diego dealer where I live asked and got 50k on car #1 and 25k on car #2. They sell to a area of 3million people and have only delivered 2 of them.
This is the facts where I live...SOCAL!
Anyway. Cars in Limited production that haven't changed in 15 plus years and this G63 is radically different and improved... You will have people pay over... Will that die down...sure... Just hasn't in my neck of the world..
My opinion and fact.

One more thing the friend that offered 175k.. was boxing it and sending it to Asia... They sell for three times.. Yes MB dealers get dinged and I wouldn't do it or sell it to someone doing it, but that is most of the reason the $$$ are happening for hot cars and this G63 is hot in ASIA.

You must have got the one in Escondido BLk/BLk that fell out of deposit.
Happy for you because I called a few days after seeing the ebay listing and they tried to sell me one for 10k over.
BTW: I would have rather paid MSRP...Just didn't get lucky

I almost bought that car before I found mine 100 miles away in OC/CA ...I searched out of state, but in the end it was just to much trouble... I would just call local dealers and offer to pay over... They will say they don't...but they do.

175k shipped to asia, but does that include the car tax when it is registered on the roads? Unless the car is to be smuggled in, it'll end up roughly being the same price range as a dealers car.
In Hong Kong we are paying 305k after tax for the G63. bloody taxes.
