AMGs

I've been thinking about this recently: With the advent of the SL55 AMG and the expected debut of the A21 AMG, would it be reasonable to expect that the C-Coupe is AMG's next target?

Yes it is, but cjileong was asking about a C-Coupe AMG, not the C32 sedan AMG.

There will never be a C-Coupe AMG. In 2003 Mercedes is using the C class chassis for their CLK's and it will take many of the C class traits aswell.

Yes, John, it will have the 203 chassis but not the same external design (hopefully...)

Any way that that could play a factor?

I thought the next gen CLK was to be on the E-class platform.

The current CLK is based on the W202 C-class.

But John, if the CLK is an improved version of the C-Coupe, what's the point of having both a CLK-Coupe and a C-Coupe??? Don't tell me size and price differentiation now...

Well, from what I have seen, it looks almost identical to the C coupe, and every magazine article, internet article, etc. has said nothing but it will be exactly like the C class.

Well, that'd be retarded...now wouldn't it?

Hopefully they're not identical or anything :p

Well, apparently they're going ahead with the C30 CDI AMG. Not quite America...but it answers my original question.
