Tectite Grey -- Road hazard???
The "car salesman" then tells me that Tectite is really not a good color...only special order...because the car blends with the road too much and is much, much more likely to get rear-ended.
Tectite is very unsafe. I just kind of chuckled and let it pass. And this guy wants me to give him $78k for a car...LOL!!! What a crock of it.
:p :p

Its hard to say that there are more of these colored cars in accidents because it depends on the amount of silver cars (Gray) sold in the U.S.
The LA Times posted an article earlier this year that Silver is now the #1 color for new cars sold in the U.S. so it should be safe to say more Silver cars will get into accidents too?? I don't know but as long as my Silver E55 is OK then I am happy.

Yeah, he actually did say that no one in Colorado wants white because if they get stuck in the snow, you can't see them from the air...I think the salesman should avoid brown because it may get lost in all the BS he puts out.:p

If grey is such a deadly color because it blends in so much, why do red cars have higher insurance rates? Shouldn't red stand out more, and in turn be more visible to the eye? Wierd.
MBTech, I too am lost but out of the past 7 cars that I have had: 93 Prelude (red), 94 TT Supra (red), 95 TT Supra (silver), 98 GS400 (silver), 99 GS400 (white), 2000 GS400 (silver), and 2001 E55 (silver)- I have never once had my insurance rates adjusted because of color.

Red cars get more speeding tickets.
true story
a lot of times by the time you realize what it is,they're only 75 yards away.
my opinion about them is they should all be driving camo-hummers,and wearing camos with m16's and kevlar.
they have NO sense of humor and TAKE it personally if you speed there.

So i guess if you have brown it's more likely they avoid you since the color looks like sh*t and it stinks too!!
