Hi, there:

Beautiful truck. I picked up mine tonight and will likely detail it this weekend. What is Zaino? Enjoy your new toy.

In further look at those pics, Mercedes really would do well by making those wheels and running boards regular options and/or make the wheels and Nappa leather standard if they start selling a GL550 here next year.

thanks guys, it really is a great truck. I saw someone test driving a new escalade as i was driving it after detailing it and the salesman and customer were staring at it the entire time that i drove by.

Looks great! I have the same vehicle and am having a really tough time with the drying process. Used microfiber, chamois and wherever I use the "towel" leaves a smear that is very fine but drives me nuts!! Any suggestions? I had the Simonize at dealer. Fingerprints are a beetch on this vehicle.

as long as you dry under shade with a microfiber towel, places like costco will sell you 30-40 for $10 (so you can toss them away after each use)....you will be fine.

Fingerprints are a *****, but that is the negative of a black car.

I have the same car you do, and my G500 was black as well.......just have to clean it once a week!

I have been in the shade but using the large micro and its from the dirt on the towel I'm sure. Googled Zanio off this thread and they suggested nice 100% cotten towels with the edges cut off. Thats what I alwaysed used on my GM but was scared to use it on this vehicle.

Great GL Kar don...many happy miles with it. The Zaino job looks tremendous. Nothing better than a black car just waxed (well, maybe white also...:-)

ENJOY!
