New to the GL forum
My first message on the GL forum! I have been browsing the forum for the past few months getting to know more about the GL from all of you.
I have been on the C (203) forums for the past few years and find the GL forum even more friendly in comparison. I really enjoyed my C280 (3 litre facelift model) and was sad to see it go but after selling it I decided to go for a GL now that I'm out of the bachelor life and have my own little family.
I just bought a low mileage '07 GL450 and am waiting for it's arrival!
I've attached a few pics I took at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year of a GL420 CDI with the AMG package. Enjoy!

Please, please, do not again, under any circumstances type the phrase "GL420 CDI" on this forum
. You have no idea what a dirty phrase that is.
You will dangerously increase the blood pressures of hundreds of fragile MB lovers as we go through that 420 discussion again

Welcome aboard, GMW, and hope you hit happy trails in your 450. It will arrive soon and till then you can use forum's resident "GL Waiting" therapy experts. You can amuse yourself by reading Nevada Jack's 320 saga or his pictures of 550 to make waiting a bit easy
I have also noticed that consumption of mass quantities of alcohol tends to make the wait easier too

GMW, welcome and nice pictures -- even though they make all of us 320 cdi owners wish we had the option. the only good thing about the wait is you can use the time soaking up some more of the knowledge from the board and then when the GL arrives...ENJOY!

Wow, Thank you all for your very warm welcome to this forum!
I keep myself quite busy day and night trying not to think about the GL's arrival in about 1+ month's time. Actually, my little 1 year old daughter keeps me busy most of the time I'm at home. Though I doubt she'll be too happy once the car arrives and I start spending a few hours each weekend keeping it nice and shiny.
Don't worry, the next pics I post will not be of the GL ****20 CDI. Don't want to cause a rift in the harmony of this forum.
