Airmatic Compressor Recall
Driving home Sunday from my parent's cabin, I get a warning message that the TPMS system has malfunctioned. So I take the GL in today to get that looked at. My SA runs an open recall check & discovers that a recall has just been issued for the airmatic compressor. I was in with the GL last week for the v-belt recall & this compressor recall wasn't out yet.
Just wanted to pass it along. My SA said it was only certain VIN #'s that are affected; I have a 01/07 production model so just about every recall applies to my GL
I'm in a silver '07 C230 which isn't too bad of a car but I do miss my satellite radio!

I was in for service at our dealer and he did confirm air compressor service bulletin which was released on Aug 28th. Ours is July 07 build. They replaced the compressor. Our SA said in some cases they are able to repair them. Push for new air compressor if you can.

I'll be picking it up later this afternoon. It'll be all washed up & ready for our road trip Friday to Yosemite!

My GL450 has been in the shop for 2 days now for an Airmatic Malfunction. The had to order a new compressor today. It should be ready tomorrow. This will be the third time it has been in the shop in a little over a year.

I told my SA that I knew of people who had the failure. We're leaving on a road trip on Friday and I know I'd never hear the end of it from my husband if the Airmatic failed on the car while on vacation.

Thanks, Jen. I am dropping off my car next week for V guide pulley and added this to the list as well. Who is your SA at Valencia? I'm thinking of trying them 
Have fun in Yosemite......I took my dad up there last month and it was a blast. GL handles like a champ on those roads. I wanted to drive up to Glacier Point but they stopped me

Ask for Matt in service; he's great. If you need a loaner car, go on a Wednesday if you want a C Class. I learned long ago not to go on a Monday and on Tuesday, they still have a lot of the C's out until late afternoon. Otherwise, you may be in competition with me for the worst loaner!

Today I was dropping off my GL for Service B (40k miles - sheesh!) and the SA (not my regular) informed me there was a recall on the truck for the compressor as well. I wonder why I didn't get anything in the mail about it? Two extra hours.
