Fender Flares for my GL450

I was wondering who out there has put the GL 550 fender flares on their GL 450? Surely someone tried it.......fess up out there. I really want to know how it went and if you had to add the side running boards as well? I really like to look of the flares, esp with the AMG 21" wheel but am wondering what is involved in this process.
Thanks!

GL 320cdi, Chevrolet Avalanchero, GLE 350 (on order)
I think there were parking lot pics posted of both a 450 on AMG wheels, and I think a 320 with flares several months ago. I don't think any board members tried it themselves, though.

Looked Into it...

I priced it and it is at least 1300 just for parts and still need to be painted... not worth the money in my opinion. Does look good but not needed even with 22's... I have seen 450 w/ 22's and looks fine. I'm plan to go 22's in the spring.

good luck..
