2007 GL with standard ajustable air suspension?

Hi Everyone,

I did find one post about this subject before, but i wanted to confirm with you guys: Do all Canadian or North American 2007 GL's come with the manually adjustable air suspension as standard equipment?

I also read that the suspension will automatically lower the ride height from the highest setting if your speed reaches 45mph?

Thanks in advance

For the US models: 2007 GLs don't come standard with manually adjustable suspension, it was only included if it has the off-road-package (ORP). They were rare. I think only the 320CDI and 450 were launched in 2007, the 550 was introduced in 2008 and it has manually adjustable suspension (ADS).

I have no idea about the Canadian models.

Yes, the GL will lower itself automatically if you drive above some speed (45 ?) for more than 20 secs or so. The GL is not fun to drive in the raised position - there is very little room left for suspension and it's best to go slow.

I do not have the ORP and I do have a manually adjustable 2-position suspension in my 2007 GL320.

My 2007 GL cdi also has manually adjustable suspension height, and I did not order any off road set up.

Adjustable suspension height and adjustable suspension stiffnes are two different things - all GLs come wih the button to raise the vehicle but the adjustable suspension stiffnes was a part of the ORP package back then.

My 07 has the ORP which has a knob to adjust the ride "height" to 3 different levels and another switch to adjust suspension from "comfort to sport or auto"

Euro models 07 and forward come with the ORP as standard ...... apparently not avail in the US anymore unless you can somehow convince the dealer that it can be ordered as some sore of "special order."

Yes, all come with a 2 position setting, plus lowers at speed. There are some option differences on the Canadian ones, I can tell you if you have other specific questions.

Hi Everyone, Just to let you know that the ORP also allows you to adjust the suspension firmness between soft, sport and auto. There is really a big difference in the settings.

When in sport mode, the truck handles very much like a smaller sportier vehicle. The difference in handling is huge.

My wife's GL doesn't have the ORP but mine does and when I drive her truck I can definitely feel the soft wallowy almost boat like suspension and there is no way to adjust it in her car.

ORP should be standard on all GL's or at least the selectable sport/comfort system should be.
