Verizon iPhone / GL Bluetooth issues??
Curious if any early Verizon iPhone 4 users are having any bluetooth issues with their GL? I've heard from a few people they were told by Verizon sales nerds that it won't work well. I typically brush Verizon employees comments (on anything) aside...but I am curious to hear if there may be.

I was able to synch and dowload contacts without problem. But, periodically, my Verizon Iphone won't be recognized when I first start the vehicle and I have to turn the phone's blue tooth off/on in order for it to be recognized. Never had that problem with my blackberry.

I can not pair my verizon iphone with my GL 450. The Command shows the phone but then I get the message that authorization was unsuccessful. The phone shows MB, but after a while shows the message that paiting was unsuccessful. When I try to do external authorization, the phone does not give any passkey.

Can't find my new verizon iPhone

New verizon iPhone4
My old Blackberry Storm connected to this car with no trouble.
Now my new iPhone4 can't seem to see COMMAND. I've tried starting one first, then the other, but the iPhone just sits there "looking", and never connects. What am I doing wrong?
The car sees the iPhone just fine.

I have had problem with my 3GS Iphone after update on 2011 GLK would not see my contact book and only shows unknown calling.
It worked on my 2008 GL perfect.
I bought a iphone 4 did a latest update and still same problem. Did tested other GLK at the dealership and same result. Using Telus in Canada,
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am expecting to have same problem with our GL coming soon.

Aceman,
Go to:
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/only_m...owners_support
And click on the appropriate "Connecting Bluetooth Phones..." link.
If your browser blocks pop-ups, click on "Enter (I forget -- something like MB connectivity)"
Either way, you will see a new window where you will select your country/passenger cars/ your series & model year.
Then you will see a page where you are instructed to Browse Bluetooth enabled phones.
Double-click (it took me a LONG time to discover that) on the iPhone4 you have (regular or Verizon) and you will be taken to a page which has check-marks for which features work with this phone/vehicle pairing. But, most importantly, at the bottom are links to two (for my pairing) PDF files. One of which is the one you need: Pairing Instructions.
The one for my pair (Verizon/CDMA iPhone4 and 2011 E550) is 5 pages long. Now print it out, take it and the phone to your car, and follow the instructions TO THE LETTER. It took me three tries before I discovered all the places where I had jumped ahead or made assumptions about what to do next. When I REALLY did what the instructions said, I got a pairing. (BTW, you have to make up your own pairing code; don't wait for it to appear. Enter it in the car first; then the phone will ask for the code, and you enter it on the phone.)
Hope this helps. Let us know how it worked.

Same issue here with a new Verizon IPhone. It won't discover my MB GL. My previous ATT iPhone had no problems.... Are there different pairing instructions for Verizon vs ATT iPhone?

I can't say. I can say that if you go through the routine I described, you will get pairing instructions that will work if you follow them to the letter. If (like I did) you assume what the next instruction is and go ahead on your own, the pairing will NOT work. Then you have to go back to the beginning and follow the instructions exactly.
