COMAND dead - Anti theft activated message
Earlier this week my head unit started reporting "Anti-theft protection activated, please switch the ignition on and restart the system" When you start the truck COMAND comes on briefly, very quickly connects to the cell phone, and then the above message comes on the screen.
This happens every time I start the truck. Turn COMAND on and off doesn't help, turning the ignition on and off doesn't help - I even tried triggering the alarm on purpose and then resetting it. Here is a video of it happening.
Any ideas?
One more data point - my electronic ignition system (EIS) module went bad about six weeks ago and was replaced by the dealer under warranty. Could this be related?

Problem turned out to be that they failed to properly marry the new EIS and the COMAND unit...

Command Anti Theft after EIS replacement
Same issue here, I have an appointment next week and the dealer says this is in no way related to the EIS replacement that he did two weeks ago. He has to look at the car, and charge me 200$ for it before he can say anything.
This is the only dealer for the next 50 miles.
They are completely Incompetent. And always trying to charge me for unnecessary service.
