Noise from front of my GL

Hi , I need help with this please. My Gl450 makes a weird noise when not pressing acelator. Doesnt mater at what speed. Press gas pedal noise is gone, release pedal noise comes back. Not sure is it transfer case or air compressor. Please help.!!!! I made a video file . It seems to me noise is like when semi brakes on downhill.

Is transmission shifting ok at high speeds? Does sound change at stationary, low speed and high speed ?

Tranny shifts ok low/high . It is a same noise on low or high speed, as soon I move my foot from acelator noise starts . Did you had chance to check my video on youtube?

Hm.... this sounds like front or center diff to me... I would have the diffs oil changed (especially if never done) and see what comes out of there...

Per vehicle history fluid was changed/serviced about 10.000 miles prior. Will try changing again and see if will help. Thanks for repplying.

If def check the transfer case fluid doesnt take much of a leak to have it dry

Wow, that is a really strange noise! In another circumstance, we might say it's a COOL sound

Maybe you could stop by a local garage and get it up in the air on their lift. Start the engine and put it through it's paces and, if lucky, they might be able to quickly find the culprit by following the sound or feeling for vibrations. Probably less than an hour of their time. With proper jacks, in theory, you should be able to do this at home - but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable underneath with the engine and drivetrain spinning and only having 4 jacks as my safety net.
