Very nice! Congrats. How's the selection of tires in that size? I may upgrade my summer rims from the stockers come springtime.

Seems to be lots of selections. I was going back and forth between 285-45-22 and 305-40-22. Decided on the toyo 305 due to online reviews. So far they aren't bad at all.

Looks sweet! I like the wheels alot.

What did you have done to the front grill? It looks black in that last pic. Thats not plasti-dip is it? Do you have any more shots of the front from different angles?

All the black that you see is plastidip. I'm trying to see how it would look before I drop it off to my paint shop to have them spray it gloss black. I'm going to dip the window trims, roof, and mirrors next to see if I like it.

Definitely post pics after you do so, and I would love to see more pics of the grill. I wonder what it would look like if you kept everything on the grill black as is except you peeled off the dip from the Mercedes star alone, if you do that before painting I'd love to see a pic of that as well, as I would consider doing that.

I'm also curious as to why are you bothering with getting it full on painted as opposed to just keeping the plasti-dip? I have friends who plasti-dipped their wheels, which obviously receive a lot more abuse and they still look like new 2-3 years later. The gloss would look good though, I don't think plasti-dip can replicate that, not sure though.

Thanks day dream. You are correct, the reason I want paint is because of the shine. I did think about leaving the star chrome but I really don't like chrome. I might spray matte plastidip on it to see how that comes out. I'll take a front view picture when I get home tonight for you.

Appreciate it man.

I'm with you on the chrome. My GL is silver and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get similar treatments done to it. I was googling images of others who have done the same (couldn't find an image of a GL, just other Merc) and I think I will keep them emblem black as well. Just got a quote for vinyl wrapping the grill & around those lights in the front as well as the trim around the window for $325, which doesn't sound too bad. Going to do it in matte black. Was thinking about doing the roof rails as well... are you doing those?

So you plasti-dipped the emblems on the back too? Did you have that done or do it yourself?

I used to wear a lot of jeans, and even on the beige leather, after only a few years, the leather turned blue on the ML. I'm so afraid to get white leather, even though it is absolutely gorgeous.

I bought the evolution version from http://www.airmatic-lowering-links.co.uk because of the quick adjustability. There's nothing wrong with the reg version. I contacted him direct and sent him paypal directly $185 shipped overnight. I ordered Thursday and received it Saturday from UK. I would say give yourself an hr for install. I took my time and spent 3hrs doing the links, paint the calipers anodized red, and change out the d1s bulbs to 6000k. This video pretty much sums up how to install

Are you sure that you don't have any rubbing with the front tires turned all the way in either direction? I have 35s vs your 40 series and mine are pretty darn close.... But I like the drop look for sure.

The trick to the emblem is use tape to cover up around the emblems and spray the whole thing. Let it dry then peel the surrounding away. You gonna need an exacto knife to make your life alot easier.

I do have slight rubbing when doing u-turns but it's only really noticeable when the tires are wet. Rubber on plastic liner. If you are willing to drop to 35 tires on 22 I think you would eliminate the rubbing but since this is my wife's daily I wanted a little more meat for ride comfort. I have 295-25-22 on my s class and I'm fine with how that rides.
ps. those advans you have are pure sex

I wish I had the Advans... Am running Zeros.... And they are very hard to get right now.

The AMG has a lower drop than the 450/550 cars and might interfere with using these links... But I'm sorta toying with the idea as it looks much better dropped.

Sorry, dumb auto correct.
I was referring to those adv.1 wheels you have. The quality and finish on those are beautiful.
