Hi,
I am about putting deposit in a week or two on 2017 GLS.
I am living in GTA area, and planning to get GLS 350. ( family use )
So my questions are
1. What packages do ppl usually get for 350?
2. I am getting 4% off msrp guaranteed, ( since price hasn't come out yet, and I am getting the car from first batch ) do you guys think it is a decent deal? If not any dealers might wanna recommend ?
3. Any other comments? Thanks so much

which corporate store are you putting a deposit down on, you might want to visit Barrie, I got mine from Thornhill but than found out Barrie does not fall under the corporate umbrella and they give better deals.

Since there is no information whatsoever on options for 2017 I cant say. I got pretty much all options on mine except designo leather, massaging seats and B&O sound system.

Being in Canada gives you an advantage of getting 550 Looks with Diesel Engine so definietly 101% you should go with AMG Package and I am guessing you would by default go with Premium package which would include Keyless Go, and some must have below items.

1) Heated Windshield Washer ( Special Order ) $200-500 ( You would know once the spec sheet is out.)
2) Lower Dashboard Wrap - This also cover door as well and its a cheap option. $500 possibly now $750.00
3) 3 Zone AC Control good for Summer and might come handy but North side cards dont really bother for this option but I always go for this option regardless which state I am in.
4) Lighting Package a must have.
5) Heated Steering Wheel Obiously for you guys.
6) Rear heated seats for rear passenger which would show your courtesy towards them in winter while you enjoy yours
7) Active Curve if you are willing to spend if not then you can settle for less Active dampening System (ADS).
8) Towing Package.
And I guess Silver\Metallic White color would do justice in Toronto because I visit frequently to Toronto in my Black GL550 and it gets pretty messed up in winter with that salt and etc.

Rest you can go on but the above is a better build in my opinion. But there are some veterans here who can pitch in some better ideas.

Thanks

Also goes without saying the Premium/Nav package is a must have. And it can't be emphasized enough, don't buy the car without the headlight upgrade.

found the original email when we had ordered our 15 - and ended up 5% under MSRP - i think 7% is invoice

ours too is our family hauler and went with MB tex purely for ease of cleaning - and so far so good - only downside is you can't get cooling feature unless you do leather - other than that love our truck and have been averaging 24mpg - just hit 5K miles and will be adding racechip shortly to really give it a bit more go -

2015 GL350 Base

It is from Vaughan. I will definitely give them a call. But I heard that buying from corporate stores are less risky if I want to make sure getting my GL from the first batch.

Thanks for your input. I am thinking about getting premium package and sport package ( AMG Style )
1) Heated Windshield Washer-Standard
2) Lower Dashboard Wrap - Looks very awesome. I will check it out once the spec sheet comes out.
3) 3 Zone AC Control - Not really interested lol
4) Lighting Package - I think this comes with standard.
5) Heated Steering Wheel - Standard
6) Rear heated seats - Standard with premium package
7) Active Curve - Not quite familiar with this one. I will ask dealer to explain. Not quite sure if it is needed for 350 though lol
8) Towing Package.

Thanks again for the information. XD

I saw many people had something called diamond white exterior, but I couldn't find it from Canadian site. :'(
I might go with MB Tex as well, because we are having a baby very soon.

Is it possible to order MY2017 in 2015 ? I think next model year is 2016, isn't it?
Even if you can place the order - the only thing you can do is to reserve the car without any options. Options can be specified at the time when it will be available to a dealer, which is about sprint time of 2016. I just placed an order for MY2016 GL350 and can change my options till about 3 weeks before production date. I did not put any deposit for the order, but my dealer said they should not have a problem to sell the car even if I will not buy it.

Sorry for confusion. It's a deposit for queue, not order.

Technically at this stage you are Putting a deposit by looking at cow's thorns who is standing in deep pond water .

Thanks

Diamond white is pretty but from what the dealer told us here is that if you were to get in any kind of accident matching it 100% is really really hard.

with that said we didn't go with it - and yes ordered/purchased in CA

and since ordering get the lower wrapped dash - only like $250 add on - totally worth it

Thanks a lot for the info.
I am going to meet my dealer this coming week.
Hope everything goes well.
But tbh I think 4% off from MSRP for brand new GLS (first batch) is a decent deal. What you think?
