CPO. Please help me decide

Price is fair, color is good and has decent options, but for above reasons, I would go for something better. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much djay. You have really open eyes towards this vehicle. I wasn't just sure how beautiful this car is, but it has been on market for awhile. Again, thank you very much. I really appreciate your feedback. I am gonna continue looking.
Also, I won't say this vehicle is decently optioned. It is actually optioned out pretty good. The only thing missing is the active curve which itself is quite rare, the "active" component of the lane keeping assist, and distronic. It even has ventilated seats, rear seat entertainment and upgraded sound system.
At a MSRP of $85k, the asking price of $47k is very good IMO. You can search for any other CPO and I'm going to say you are not going to find a better price ratio (55% of MSRP).
Service 'A' was done. FR/RR brake pads replaced. Buy the 3 pack service (B-A-B) and you are essentially all set until 65k miles. Buy 2 additional year warranty, and you are good until Apr 2021 (car has 1 more year of factory warranty, add 1 year for CPO warranty and you buy 2 more years). So you are covered for the entire 4 years. The Airmatic may or may not fail, CPO may or may not cover it, but I would seriously consider this vehicle. Take a drive, look over it to make sure the body is all good and tires will last you another year.
Good Luck.

Price is "OK" - and I mean "OK" - I haven't seen one X166 with a single failed motor mount - this rig is not high mileage and not 10 years old ...

Let's see. $43k with 39700 miles. Sure it is $4k less. But also missing the following:
- no leather
- no appearance package
- no lightning package (Halogen is making a comeback I suppose)
- no cooled seats
- no 2nd row moonroof or pano
- no rear seat entertainment
- polar white vs diamond white
These options alone are worth or close to $10k. Besides, lightning package is a must.
So motor mount failed. It was idling a little rough. Maybe it was a Friday and the worker mis-assembled the mount. Mercedes replaced the mounts but somehow the entire vehicle is ruined now. Ok. Whatever.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I went through this and the vibration was caused by bad motor mounts. Balanced the heck out of my tires and replaced the wheels. Turns out you could see straight through the motor mounts - they were that worn out. Replaced and the ride returned to buttery smooth.
It happens. I wouldn't let that be the thing that deters you from a car. At least you know to check for it when chasing down vibration problems. Otherwise it was well maintained from the looks of it.

- Accelerate firmly while turning left and turning right and listen for any clicks or clunks. If you hear any...pass.
- Hit 65-70mph and see if anything vibrates at all. Then reduce to 55-60 and check for vibrations. If it vibrates...pass. Sorting out vibrations can be frustrating.
- Drive in a neighborhood and do a California roll (come to a near stop then back on the gas) and watch for any jerkiness at all - if it kicks or jerks noticeably...pass.
- Shift it into reverse and listen for any clunk or thump - should be smooth and quiet. If you feel or hear a thump while shifting to reverse...pass.
- Turn off the climate control and radio - drive on a smooth asphalt or black top road at 10-15mph and listen for anything that sounds like a rock stuck in a tire (rotational clunk or rubbing noise). If you hear that, pass. But check the tires for rocks just in case...
- When you're done with your test drive, park it and let it sit for 30min while making small talk. Then restart right before you walk out with the window down - if you hear a loud diesel-like clatter that goes away after 10-15 seconds...I'd pass.
- If you can do an over night, park it and check the ride height in the morning before starting to make sure the air springs aren't leaking.
