Thanks for the link to the pictures. I like it. I think the US GL63 version rims look better than those and will compliment the Iridium Silver even more.
Are you still waffling on your color choice?
Shodan1:
Yes - please post pictures when you pick up your (wife's) GL63. How did you manage to get in that March (now April) build slot . . .

SouthOcean1: I am confused about the exterior color. I keep going from iridium silver to black to obsidian black. I have decided on black as the interior color. Even though porcelain is nice, black is more practical.

Supposed to pick this up on Saturday.
as for the pics of that silver one- weird but it does not have the surround camera (which i thought was standard on gl63)
congrats on the white gl63- looks sweet- thats what i love about white- you can see all the lines..

SO: I am sorry I didn't mean to ignore your question. I was able to acquire a 2013 allocation and then have that switched to 2014 - all thanks to Mr. Steve Cannon. The 2013 allocation was taken away and was not given to another dealer. I am just thankful I am able to get an allocation for an August build.
Shodan01: Thanks for the picture. It seems the interior is porcelain. Can you please post your thoughts on the designo porcelain interior? You are indeed lucky to be in the first batch of the GL63 for the US.

Thanks for the info on the allocation switch. That's the way it should have worked out but how often can you say things actually do work out that way. Nice to hear.
I very much understand your struggles with your color choice. Interestingly enough, I made one final attempt this past weekend to pitch my wife on the Cinnabar Red. Showed her the pictures of the launch GL63 in the most favorable light . . . but she was having none of it. So I have settled back into Palladium Silver again for the final time.
I saw a 2013 Iridium Silver GL550 this morning on the way to work and thought of your choice. It really looks sharp. I think the lighter colors help make this large vehicle a little less imposing. But color is such a personal thing. Maybe you should just split the difference and go with Steel Grey - just kidding.
Shodan1: Congrats! You have got to post more photos when you take delivery and give us a report on the difference in experience between owning a legend like the G63 and the GL63.
I'd love to say that we owned the legend for enough time, but we owned it for under a week
Loved how it looked and the power, but honestly, it was more of a toy than a daily driver IMO. I am hoping that we have this one longer

Pics to be posted tomorrow upon pick-up.

Needless to say - My wife is very happy
Here are some photos of the exterior. We will take interior photos tonight.

We need more photos and a more detailed review after you (and your wife) have put a few more miles on the odometer. Several of us need to live vicariously through you for the next couple of months . . .
