Lol! It may seem good from a tax perspective but once you're here you realize taxes are actually important for an educated, healthy population. We are moving from TX to So Cal for those reasons as well as Tx lege war on women, science, and affordable health care. Yes, Obamacare to some of you, but my special-needs child who was denied health insurance in 2008 due to 'pre-existing' conditions (yeah, she was born with it) now actually has insurance due to the ACA or Obamacare. My Gl63 is heading West.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" rings true. We have some of the highest taxes in the Minnesota, but when news comes out yesterday that Minnesota has the highest ACT scores of any state in the country it softens the financial scars a little.

Sorry cant say the same about Cali. If you think your tax goes toward "education," look elsewhere. We had some of the nicest public schools in my area, most have gone to pot. While paying equal to my property tax in mello roos, we're starting with private school.

Well, we went in today and did the #s. didn't expect a great deal and didnt get one either, but we're a loyal customer and as long as I don't get shafted, I'm ok. It is a pretty exclusive car and I doubt if anybody will come out with a steal.
Anyway, the car is scheduled to arrive in 6 days...same as the baby. Two deliveries at the same time. Which one should I go to? Hummm, can't decide...

What part of so cal are you in? I'm in San Diego and we pay a ton of mello Roos but our school district is very good.

Did you get it at Laguna? I saw that they had two inbound 63's, one steel grey.

Nice Steel Grey bookends in your garage. Nice to have two AMGs in the garage.

I went with the four year pre-paid plan to line up with the warranty. Not as fortunate as Cybernorth though, as I paid $1,750 for it. As you probably know, the AMG models have a higher priced plan.
Remind me again when your GL63 arrives . . .

Hey South Ocean! Congrats on finally getting the GL63. May it bring many miles of pleasurable soccer mom and grocery getting duties! BTW check out my build thread, I've just updated it with some new stuff.
I saw my first GL63 here in Seattle a few weeks back. It was black on black with every option except night vision and rear seat entertainment.

Compare to x164 it seems less roomy but I think it's the more aggressive seat bolsters.
I also noticed two concerns for other owners to discuss:
The camera system looks aweful at night. You can hardly see anything!!! There may be something wrong with mine
The other is a noise I hear from the right rear. Sounds like plates scraping against each other but only under load. I'm hoping the diff is not the cause of this. I can hear it when I lightly press brake with left foot under load, so I ruled out pads scrubbing. Any thoughts?
