14 Gl 63 burning oil
I have a 2014 GL63 and I've always had to add a quart of oil around the time my service/maintenance would be due.
because of the pandemic we haven't been putting nearly as many miles on the vehicle as we usually do but I've gotten the message to add a quart of oil three times since my last oil change. I've added twice and just got the third message last night.
I don't see any visible oil leaks on the floor or in the engine bay, but where is the oil going?
Anyone else experiencing this or know what I should look for?
not sure if there's any correlation or not but I did get a message to add coolant last night also but I think it may be to do with the temperature fluctuation.

I've been using them for a couple of years now and never had a problem before with their service. They've been the best dealership I've been to in about 20 years so far.
I'd have to go through my paperwork, but I'm pretty sure I had a cylinder misfiring and fail. I think it was replaced or rebuilt and that was about 2 years ago.
I hope that's not where this is going because it was a nightmare and they had my truck for about two months. Luckily I was covered through extended warranty, otherwise it was the worst experience ever with a MB dealer.
Not to say you aren't experiencing a leak but the top up with 1 quart will not fully fill it in my opinion.
i hope there isn’t and compression issue. The mechanic said there is a leak at the front somewhere that will be repaired at the next service when I do the fan belt. No oil makes it to the floor though.
I've put a couple of bottles of Ceratec in it, thinking it could be cylinder scoring, but it's not throwing any fault codes.
I think it's time for a compression test. Any other suggestions what to check for?
