GLB35 battery

Is there a way for me to check my battery status on one of my many screens? 2021 GLB35. The dealer said I have to use battery tester.

The only one I can think of is in your Mercedes Me Connect app under "Service", however it does not give you actual voltage.

The method mentioned previously is a good method. Another alternative way is to check the voltage of your battery via a voltage tester outside the vehicle, if the voltage is within normal standby voltage when it is on standby then it is healthy. The third method would be to check it via the "Engine Data" screen, in case you couldn't find it, this is what it looks like : https://www.thedrive.com/content/201...jpg?quality=85

Thanks! I’ll see if I can find that screen, may have missed it with the Performance title.

My screen has engine and transmission oil temps, no battery charge. Also, once I get to Engine, I don’t have a further sub menu.

I see what you mean, I forgot the 35 doesn't have the voltage available as it was replaced by engine oil and gear oil temperature, make sense. In that case, you might need to use the old fashioned voltage meter and measure it physically outside the vehicle. You could also use the Mercedes Me method mentioned by another forum member a few posts before. If not, you can see if there are ODB scanners that can pull up such information.

When you hover over the standby mode option in MBUX, it'll tell you how many weeks it can stay parked. That can be used as a battery indicator.

Mercedes Me shows “Charged” as starting battery condition.
That’s all most people want to know. But it just ain’t enough for us gear heads.

Didn't like the obd scanner method I mentioned earlier? You could usually get those tiny ones that you can plug it in your vehicle and then check it on your phone via an app, you don't need anything fancy or bulky, you can choose to leave it plugged in or take it off.

On another forum someone noted that their plug-in actually depleted the battery. That would be interesting. I’m not a gearhead but did subscribe to road and track magazine when I was in high school. I’ll look into the obd for my car. Thanks

Perhaps another question is what are you actually interested in? As others have mentioned, the battery status is shown in the Mercedes me connect app. But, it doesn't give you a detailed charge level. Pretty much just says Charged or Partially charged. However, in case you are not aware, once the battery status becomes critical the car will send an alert to your phone to let you know, so you can go hook it up to a trickle charger or take it for a drive.

I'm interested in knowing how to check the battery other than having to connect it to an outside device. Dealer said there was no way but I figured you folks might know more.

I wonder if you can get dealer menu, or engineering menu or something along those lines open to see the battery voltage that way.

Here’s how to get to the dealer menu:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci_MkUy6TTc

It’s probably in there somewhere. There’s no user map and everything is available. Be careful in there. Making unintentional changes can turn off important functions.
