Has anyone added a puddle lamp to their vehicle? I'd like to add one to my GLB 250. I saw someone on Amazon selling one and I'm waiting to hear from the seller if it's compatible. If so, I think I might take a stab at it. Here is the link...

I have installed LED Logos into my two front doors. I purchased OEM logos from ebay for about $100 a while back.
I saw one other member purchased aftermarket Logos from DMP Design, with a good success.

If you use OEM logo, there might be a chance that one or borth lights will start blinking. It happens when the door module missing a code, which could be programed at your local dealer at no cost.

Hope this helps.

I have also installed OEM LED puddle lights following a purchase on ebay. Mine blinked or sometimes didn't light up at all (very inconsistent). When I brought my GLB in to the dealer for service for a different issue, they noticed it and added it to the service plan. Apparently it took them some time to get the code sent down for install in my car but it eventually went through and now they work great.

Are they easy to install?

Yes. The electric connection is on the right side of the light, so pry it out from the left side.

Okay, I'm going to give it a try. I found a seller offering the OEM part for $130. That sounds reasonable.

One other question... did the dealership give you any trouble since you installed the lights on your own?

No. They did not say a word.

I did not share that I installed them myself....I just said that they were not working consistently... So I played stupid (which is a strength of mine). Since it was OEM equipment, they did not think to question who installed them I suppose, which is funny since I actually bought the vehicle from them so they clearly had build sheets and other resources to verify if they wanted to.

As far as the install, I will say that prying them out did take more effort than I had expected, and ended with the original door lights coming apart in pieces (they were easily snapped back together) Once out, the new lights went in rather easily and quickly.

Can someone link the OEM eBay link? Not sure which one will work on the GLB. It’s as if everyone forgets to mention if it’s compatible with the GLB in their description. Thanks

Not unusual for Mercedes to use same components across models, especially A and B class.

If you want OEM search for part: A 247 820 87 02, or 247-820-87-02, 2478208702, etc.

P.S. If you look on Ebay the lowest price set for $95 plus $7.75 shipping looks like cheap aftermarket lights in MB box (fake), real ones do not look like that. The only reason I know is that I purchased a cheap set from Amazon first and returned them right away.
