Actually there is a small scratch on the rear bumper from when I backed into a mound of dirt turning around on a small country road in France because I missed a turn. It was supposed to be fixed using the ED car insurance, but the SA said it was still there. He will be talking to MBUSA to see what they want to do, may be I will just leave it as a souvenir. After all, how many people can say they have a scratch on their car from Souther France .

Picked up my car today. I forgot what an impressive car it is. it is far more luxurious than my X3 and the ride is much smoother. I still prefer the handling performance of the X3, but I am happy to retire the X3 for a GLC. It is a great car.

It is almost 1,000 miles from Long Beach to Portland, isn't Arizona closer? Hope you hear soon, and when you get your car I hope you are as happy with it as I am with my car.

Hi Gang! Have been following you all for months as I researched my new whip. Ordered a Selenite Gray GLC 300 4Matic AMG line on 14 July 2017 with a delivery projection for sometime in November. Had to join this forum because my friends and family are frankly sick of hearing about every. little. detail.

I was very disappointed (and more than a little perplexed) about black only MBTex option for AMG line (skipping leather option). Drove my decision to change from Lunar Blue to Selenite Grey. Just sent my salesman a note about the omission of any mention of the diamond grill on the GLC build package on MBUSA's website (FINALLY up for the 2018s). This has the potential to seriously rain on my MB parade...

Anyway, glad to be here and I hope it all works out. The enthusiasm of folks waiting on their cars and then taking delivery is definitely contagious!

I would just add, be sure to double check your order after it's entered in the MB system (Netstar).

And be aware of things like, no Parktronic (pkg 996) = no parking sensors! Seems like a lot of folks ASSUME they're Std Equipment because they see all these sensors on the bumpers. They're not.

No, they are not automatically included in Pkg 997.

The parking sensors are park of the Parktronic feature which is only included in the Advanced Parking Assist Package (996) as Dieseldoc mentioned above.

Search for the latest MY18 DOG (Dealer Order Guide) on this forum so you can see what features are included in each package before you order.

If you can't find it, post back here.

Speaking from experience, I can categorically state that (for 2017, at least) having 997 without 996 means you get NO parking sensors.

Hey Guys, with your experience, can you please tell how long it takes from Production Complete to Arrival at Baltimore dock. My 2018 GLC completed production in Finland on 07/27.

My Finland build GLC went B5 (Production Complete on 6/10/17). Docked in Baltimore 7/2/17.

It goes by boat from Finland to Bremerhaven. Then gets on a big transport there to US. Mine went straight to Baltimore. There's a VPC in NJ too. Not sure if they go by there first sometimeS.

Once it's on the ship in Bremerhaven you should be able to check your ships schedule and tell where it's going from there.

MB dealers should train the SA's to specifically ask if the customer wants/expects parking sensors. Since they are included in several mainstream auto makers cars, I think MB customers assume theirs will have them.

Since it sounds like you didn't get them, there ARE aftermarket options available. I think some folks even like them better. I like the ones on my wife's X3 better because they are more graphic, but with the cameras available in Pkg 996 you can tell exactly where you are in relation to obstacles.

I thought the 360 camera was sort of gimmicky but I LOVE it now. Let's you see curbs as you pull in/back out. Makes it easy to park exactly where you want to in a space.
