Intelligent LED lights

Intelligent LED lights
As I was negotiating a few offers between 3 dealers I pulled the trigger on a vehicle that had ideal options that I thought.
BUT. I didn't realize this had no intelligent lights and I signed the deal as I was having a busy week and didn't scrutinize the options list as they were all so similar.
I always felt this was a must have option and now I'm devastated.
I'm not sure if I can cancel the deal but I'm too embarrassed to ask.
The car will be driven by my wife who doesn't care about this and we don't do a lot of highway driving at night.
So should I just live with this or pluck up the courage and cancel the deal. Problem is stock is limited and I may only get another vehicle in April.

If your wife isn't bothered and you guys won't do a lot of highway night driving, I wouldn't be concerned at all.
Are the "standard" lights on the GLC halogen or static LED or xenon?

You will probably have the car for some time and you shouldn't have to settle. I am sure the dealer wants to keep you happy so you can pass a great recommendation to others.

its a deal breaker for me. Aesthetically I think it changes the wrong end of the vehicle entirely. The standard halogen lights aren't even in projectors...so it is like something from the 80s/90s. That's probably not what you wanted to hear but its my honest opinion

Same for me. I would not get a car without out them.

I agree with the previous posts, I would not special order or buy ANY vehicle without LED or HID headlights. A very minimum should be halogen projector headlights, obviously they wanted to save money here as does BMW. I frequently drive at night and on dark roads so it's very much a safety concern for me. HID > LED > Halogen projectors > flashlight > reflector lamps. However, if you drive in the city mostly then I would probably reconsider this option. -Take it from a former automotive lighting engineer.
Call the dealer and get it straightened out, don't regret changing your order even if it delays your order. They'll be plenty of GLC's floating around in the coming months

I also agree. I had projector halogens on my Gl. They were awful. I should have gotten the HIDs at the time. Do not skimp. Order them. I had to take a later build on my GLC to get LED.I think it is worth waiting for.

My partner followed me home tonight in the GLC with the standard lights. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice and bright they are. I don't think they're the halogens of years gone by. I'm glad I have the Intelligent Lighting system on my C300 Sport, but now that I've seen how good the standard lights are on the GLC300, if my C300 didn't have them, I wouldn't be particularly disappointed.

Update.
The deal was at an advanced stage with the bank having paid the dealer so it took a bit of arm twisting but mostly tears but I managed to cancel the deal.
Found another with the lights and a few extra bits I didn't really want...a custom build will only be ready in April they say.

Trust me, I get that. I had to have them on my C300 Sport, and I do. The partner on the other hand wasn't bothered in the least, so when we selected the GLC and it didn't have them, he could have cared less. Money saved! Cha-Ching!

Fortunately for me, the partner wasn't bothered about having the LED lights. The standard Halogen are surprisingly good for Halogen lights. I still prefer the look of the LED's on my C300 Sport though. But I wouldn't want someone who isn't getting the LEDs on their GLC to feel they have something substandard. They're not at all.
