Owner Review of GLC

My review of my GLC (a low or high score is against its competitors. 10/10 means best in class):

Exterior 9/10: An elegant looking car. I do prefer the looks of the NX F Sport but still a handsome fella.

Interior 10/10: hands down the best cabin in the class. the vents to the steering wheel to the seats. amazing

Space 10/10: I think it is the biggest in its class. Headroom and legroom for both front and back passengers are great. Trunk is big.

Features 10/10: i know its rather subjective, but my car is fully loaded. LED ILS is amazing. Kick to open trunk. and good sound system

Handling 8/10: The NX F Sport and X3 feels that little more agile and more "car-like"

Ride & Comfort 10/10: Definitely the most comfortable one in the class. Could be quieter at speeds

This is based on 6 weeks of ownership of the GLC and 2 test drives for each rival (X3; Macan; NX; RDX; Q5).

How about ease of exit. My MIL traded her C-Class (2000 mi.) for a Lexus because she tired of having to climb over the door sills to get out. At the age of 91 her legs were not all that flexible. Does the GLC have similar door sills?

Not sure about the normal door sills, I've got the running boards (they come standard in Australia, I probably wouldn't have chosen them otherwise). I have to admit, they make the car's stance look awesome, but they also make it more bothersome to get in and out.

Yes. I think that having it at it highest setting will make exit easier.

I wonder how much of a difference it would make in making it more "agile" in sport mode.

Actually, on fixed springs, you wouldnt feel more "agile" as only the transmission shift points and throttle response are changed.

Joe, have you been able to find someone who has received their GLC with air body control? I just ordered it, and I'm hoping it's worth it. My salesman did tell me that the ride is nicer, but the cost to fix is higher. I couldn't test cars with and without it side by side.
