Hi from Land Down Under - Australia
I had a 2019 GLC250 and now a MY20 GLC300 both of which were and are fitted with the same Blackvue dual camera system with a power magic pro but I am having problems with the parking mode feature. Sometimes it activates and other times the camera shuts down soon as I stop the vehicle and open a door. This even happens after a lengthy 400Kmtr drive so battery should be well and truly charged. I have the camera system professionally installed and they assure me that the voltage cut off for the power magic pro is set to 12V and time to infinity. Just wondering if you have experienced similar problems
I don't have problem so far with my Blackvue 750 2 channel dash cam, I think it may be the temperature inside the car or the car been expose too much under the sun, this camera or most but not all dash cameras have their temperature cut off, meaning once their reach the temperature it stop on operation until it cools down ,normally 60 degrees upwards. Another thing I can think of is the install was connected to ( constant 12 volts) auxiliary ,so when you get out of the car, it turns off. There are only 3 wires to be connected constant 12volts Aux, and the negative. I piggy back mine for the constant 12 volts and Aux to live whern press the start button to Aux.
Hope this helps you , I may recommend to have someone not your installer to check wiring as your installer may keep saying its okay ( they installed it in the first place ) . Try that let me know /Us the result.
Good Luck .
Cheers
Ceasar
The white wire before the joint is the Auxiliary and the other wire is constant 12 volts. Just work it out the fuse locations. Fuse box located at the back .

Anyone had their windscreen washers stop working ?
Bottle full,
Front do not spray, just very short splash
Rear does not squirt, just small splash too.
Washer motor seems to work, hear it.
Tried to ease off rubber feed tube, but tight connection, may need hair dryer to soften rubber, plastic tube to slide off.
Only used tap water, Melb, and some washer additive for soap from Repco or AutoBarn.
Never happened before in other cars, unless tube came off.
Unusual all 4 jets reacting same, suggesting blockage or pump lost pressure ?
Thanks

Finally fare welled my 2016 GLC 43 last week.
Sad heart to see it go.... Report on 3 years of ownership from new and 33,000km.
Had the Tire crab/skip issue...... almost cured with the change of tyres to the 5 star Continentals free of charge by MB Adelaide and front wheel alignment..
Rain Wiper judder issue cured by windscreen polish.
Never had the rear brake squeal some owners reported.
.
Tire wear below averge, but better than some owners reported getting 17000km front and 27,000 km rear (stay on top of tire pressures a nd wheel alignment).
2 MB recalls steering earth and seat belts pre-tensioners.
Gearbox jerking in Sports +, never did really get to the bottom of it. IF you are going to use Sports + nail it and not suitable for around town traffic.
Towards the end of ownership noticed the 3rd to 2nd downshift starting to get a bit harsh in comfort & sport.
The interior creaks from new never really got any worse, had a couple sorted by MB rear seats and sunglass holder roof. No charge.
Chrome finish on center arm rest started to bubble, replaced by MB no charge.
Rear break pads replaced at 30,000 KM, I had expected the fronts to go first ??
Interior and exterior held up very well through onwership...
Why did I say goodbye, MB would not extend Factory warranty on the AMG?????? Even though the car had been Fully serviced by them and well cared for.
So I bought the GLC 300 Coupe 2020 fully loaded.
Early impressions after 4 days of ownership....
Much better built car...... 300 engine nippy and fine for todays heavy policed roads ... going to miss the 43's getup and go. But will most probably have less points on my license
at the end of the next 3 years.MBUX amazing , Mercedes ME welcome feature at last.
No sign of tire/ crab skip >>>>!
Report back on any new things that arise.

Good report on your GLC 43.
I too had the issue re extended warranty for the GLC, could only buy aftermarket.
If I sold my GLC to dealer and purchased it again it would have extended warranty supplied as part of ‘used certified’ vehicle program - go figure !!!
I purchased after market cover for 5 years, so mine has 8 year cover.
If my windscreen washer jets fail to work, I will try and see if my cover works,,,,,,,
Enjoy your new GLC.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

You certainly have helped me and many others in the GLC43 family.
Enjoy a Barossa Vino.
Cheers

heated rubber feed tube where it joins first row of jets on bonnet and uncoupled it. Had to shut bonnet to operate wipers and water jets (safety aspect ?) and pumped water, very low pressure, had a can of compressed air and used it to push air back into the washer bottle to unblock anything in tube or washer motor area.
Had to do it twice, seems to have worked. Will however put a hose in bottle now and try and flush anything by running water and letting it overflow and circulate any debris out the top. Rear washer seems to be ok now too.
Hope this remedy helps others

Happy Australia Day!!!!!
I have a question about entry /exit set up, is the GLC have this for both steering wheel and seat? I tried doing what was suggested from this forum but the seat don't work for me only the steering wheel.
Any help please...
Cheers

Driver's seat Easy Entry/Exit Feature Not WorkingRandomly my easy entry/exit feature stopped working, my seat would not back up when key was removed, or move forward upon entry and key inserted, but steering wheel would either way.
Performing a seat computer reset worked for me and fixed my easy entry/exit issue. (2005 C55, been 3 weeks and working fine, so I wanted to share the process to reset it with everyone.)
Perform while outside vehicle with drivers door open:
1. Turn key to "ON" position 2 (right before start)
2. Press bottom seat cushion button forward, once seat reaches the full forward position, continue to hold for 10 seconds. Then release button. (I heard a reset click after 10 seconds, I assume meant it reset)
3. Hit seat memory button you have your settings set to and allow it to adjust to set position.
4. Get in car while seat is in your set driving position, close door, then turn key to off position and remove. (your seat and steering wheel should now adjust to the exit position setting)
Seat should now work with the easy entry/exit feature again.

Looks like limited world markets, price and competition from long term alternatives took its toll.
Will be interesting if any impact on GLC, more sales ?

Sadly MBAu do not offer such a service to original owners, but they will for those who purchase our own vehicles via their dealer network – go figure ???
The sad part is I could trade in my GLC on another vehicle and I could repurchase it on the used car lot and have 3 yers extended warranty.
Does not seem to pass the ‘pub test’.
We are forced to purchase third party extended warranty from other companies in Oz.
This link from MB USA seems to suggest they offer OEM extended warranty to their loyal owners, yes a bigger market to defray cost exposure, but surely MBAu could do the same for their owners ?

Maybe one day ? Yes we would have to pay for it – I just wonder what the built in cost is for the vehicles on the used car lot is and why original owners can not access this ‘pre -owned’ facility ?

“ Update on the auxiliary battery error is that the auxiliary battery capacitator had to be replaced. $750 down the drain ...”
info from OZ
Ouch.

Still making a healthy profit, but looking to axe some models.
